If I were him or martial I would be mincing Bailly I’m training. What an idiot
He probably won't play under Ole either. I don't see what the difference is. There are better players than him on the team. Was there ever any reason given for why Jose froze him out? He bigged him up all through pre-season, and made a point of praising him after the opening game against Leicester. And then just.... puffft. Nothing.
The only things I can think of are his start in our loss to Brighton, and the fact he was sat next to Pogba during the whole “Instagram fiasco”.... neither of which seem remotely significant enough to freeze him out. But then that was always one of the most frustrating things about Mourinho. His seemingly arbitrary grudges and selective punishments for poor performances.
Herrera possibly and rest Matic against Reading.Funny feeling he’ll start tonight and we’ll rest one of Herrera or Matic
I do hope so. I think he's a better passer than Fred and Herrera. Doesn't slow down play as much as the other midfield players either. He just lacks a bit of physicality and is sometimes a bit naive. Fred hasn't really impressed me so far so I think Pereira deserves a start alongside Pogba and Matic. If not this game then the one against Reading.Funny feeling he’ll start tonight and we’ll rest one of Herrera or Matic
He's good at everything. Problem is he doesn't have the opportunity to make his stamp into the first team. He can be a good DLP or Advanced playmaker.Technically really good but what's his best position? We already have a problem having so many attacking players which he's not going to get in front of. The midfield 3 appears to be quite well balanced and we have just paid 50m for Fred so he's behind him too. Positive for him is a least he's on the bench and getting some if not limited game time. It's up to him now......
Not sure he's good at everything tbh otherwise there would be a long list of clubs that would want that type of player ironically including us. For his technical ability on the ball should be our Silva x2 type of player but is a million miles off either of those. I think Utd are hopeful that he starts to show some of that and although limited, it's for him in training or if he gets the opportunity to show it on the pitch. The other problem for him is I think we fancy Gomes more. He's good at everything. Problem is he doesn't have the opportunity to make his stamp into the first team. He can be a good DLP or Advanced playmaker.
Would be a bad game to do so as away as Newcastle isn't the place to start rotating. He should start on the bench with Sanchez there as well. Both of them could be needed to turn a tricky game but we should be starting the same team who started against Bournemouth, if Spurs can play the same squad game after game with little variations here and there then I think we should be able to too.Funny feeling he’ll start tonight and we’ll rest one of Herrera or Matic
Don’t Newcastle have the worst home form in the league?Would be a bad game to do so as away as Newcastle isn't the place to start rotating. He should start on the bench with Sanchez there as well. He is tactically inept which means all his good attributes is useless. Slow , weak and not even that creative. People here talk like he is pirlo / xavi / veratti 2.0 just because he did well in free season against farmers. He's good at everything. Problem is he doesn't have the opportunity to make his stamp into the first team. He can be a good DLP or Advanced playmaker.
Not sure if they do, but I guarantee you that even if they do they'll suddenly become twice the side they were once we show up.Don’t Newcastle have the worst home form in the league?
I guess you have being watching him since he was 14?He is tactically inept which means all his good attributes is useless. Slow , weak and not even that creative. People here talk like he is pirlo / xavi / veratti 2.0 just because he did well in free season against farmers.
I think he has the most potential to score a screamer out of those players and based on what he's done when hes on the pitch this season he's one of our more determined ball winners after Ander.Genuine question, in a non sarcy way, but does anyone here think he's better than or has more potential than, say, the likes of Gribbin or Gomes? He's 23 now, really if he was going to make it here he should be finding himself on the bench or starting often for us
Weren’t most top players starting regularly at 23? If not before? No doubt someone will come up with exceptions.Genuine question, in a non sarcy way, but does anyone here think he's better than or has more potential than, say, the likes of Gribbin or Gomes? Haven't heard of Gribbin in a while. Any idea how he is doing for the U23's?Genuine question, in a non sarcy way, but does anyone here think he's better than or has more potential than, say, the likes of Gribbin or Gomes? He's definitely closer to the full team, yes. Right now, probably a better player than both. Whether he has more potential? Probably not. Although Gribbans injuries a have really hurt him.Genuine question, in a non sarcy way, but does anyone here think he's better than or has more potential than, say, the likes of Gribbin or Gomes? I'm not sure anyone really knows where to play him, he seems to get pushed over to the left hand side quite a lot, but I believe he would be most effective in a central role, not as a DM, but more as a creative midfielder. I know some people think he is ''not creative' or 'overrated', but has hardly been given a game, let alone a run in the team. If we had two box to box midfielders either side of him I think we would see him at his best. Play Pogba in a free role, and Rashford/Martial/Sanchez/Lingard vying for the front two positions. Not sure this would ever happen, but would love to see it against Reading. He is also a deadball specialist.Haven't heard of Gribbin in a while. Any idea how he is doing for the U23's?
I think Pereira is a tad overrated. He is a player with lot of skills, but I don't know if he has it all together to be given a regular role in the midfield. Another loan where he played regularly in his favorite position might have been better for him. I am skeptical about him making it here.
Gomes is one of the most talented kids to come through our academy so no, he probably doesn't have more potential than him. As for Grubbing I'd probably say yeah he doesGenuine question, in a non sarcy way, but does anyone here think he's better than or has more potential than, say, the likes of Gribbin or Gomes? Angel is easily more talented. Gribbin would have been a similar level talent id say but who really knows now as he's been injured for so long. Andreas is better a bit deeper though and a lot better defensively than them.Genuine question, in a non sarcy way, but does anyone here think he's better than or has more potential than, say, the likes of Gribbin or Gomes? Then you're supporting the wrong club. Not a fan of youngsters. I'd rather loan them out and get a proven player in.
Why is that? Then you're supporting the wrong club.
I think he can be a very good player for us, especially being played. Not a fan of youngsters. I'd rather loan them out and get a proven player in.
Definitely the wrong club for you. It’s built on bringing through youth players. Not a fan of youngsters. I'd rather loan them out and get a proven player in.
Because developing the youth is part of the club's heritage. I'm surprised you even need to ask...Why is that?
Ok, thanks then I'll change clubs.Definitely the wrong club for you. It’s built on bringing through youth players.
What are you on about? We’ve had a youth product in literally every single squad since god knows when. It’s in the DNA of the club. I just read you want Lukaku to start over Rashford? That says it all really.Ok, thanks then I'll change clubs.
I am aware of that, that was a once in a lifetime generation, I know people like to dream but it's not happening again anytime soon.
Obviously I am, I just think chances are minimal that those will turn in to anything and then you end up buying anyway.Because developing the youth is part of the club's heritage. I'm surprised you even need to ask...
the shed end is that way mate --->Not a fan of youngsters. I'd rather loan them out and get a proven player in.
I'm not saying it's not possible to have someone come through and become a player. That's just not gonna cut it if we want to compete with buyers like City and literally everyone else. Lukaku is the more proven player so yeah I want him to start over Rashford. What are you on about? We’ve had a youth product in literally every single squad since god knows when. It hasn't been a bad recipe for them.the shed end is that way mate --->

Please familiarise yourself with the history of the club in full before making another post. Why is that?
We've literally just won 3 games on the bounce scoring 4 a ganme with 3 academy players starting.Ok, thanks then I'll change clubs.

It's not easy for players like him to get in with all the names we have ahead of him. I don't believe Ole will play him either.I think he can be a very good player for us, especially being played.
But if not I would rather sell him, how many times can we loan him?
Would love to see him play more, certainly should be given a start, even Fred was granted one. But I think there's still time for him.
