Yeah it has proper weighed down Jadon, don't even need to speak about Maguire
Yeah...
You can already with 100 certainty predict the media shitstorm if he goes on a goalless streak.

He seems to be the firey Brazilian type though so I hope be at least he has the mentality and the determination to cope with it.

About time we brought in some class south American players, such potential in that market which we never utilized the way Madrid and barca have done.

Let's sign him.

Malacia and Martinez have a nice mix of mad work rate and ability. Antony in addition to having ability seems to again be very intense which will only help us.

After yesterday going to trust ETH. Both Malacia and Martinez were immense.
Give the man whatever he wants!

I still oppose this move for the quoted fee, but him, Bruno, and Martinez are going to be a nightmare to play against.

I still remember his antics against Feyenoord last season.

It was him that got Hummels sent off when they played Dortmund, right?

Seeing ETH’s faith in Martinez and Malacia pay off I’m happy to trust him on this. If he thinks it’s worth the money then let’s do it. Even though we won with a great performance last night, a better RW and Sancho over on the left would have been even better.

Antony's next move, arriving at OT wearing a megastore full kit and putting a picture on IG with the caption "watching the lads play #MUFC" even if the deal is still pending.

Doesn't play at the weekend for Ajax because of 'injury' but then he's pictured in the away end at St Mary's bouncing round with the boys chanting 'ten Hags red and white army'

I'm coming around to the idea we need this lad, Sancho and Rashford just doesn't have the fitness to sustain the press and track back for 90 minutes.
Good point. Around 60 mins mark, the players starts showing tiredness and losing second balls easily. We may need players who sustain the level of fitness for 90 mins like pool or city has.
Yesterday our back 4 was solid that won us the game.

Orny was on the talk of the devils podcast saying he doesn't think this one will happen

Which I thought was weird given that the player is pushing for the move and Ajax usually sell

He's the only one who doesn't right now. Normally so reputable, is he really willing to stick his neck out with a take like that after the last few days we've seen?

Interesting. He’s on strike, we’re set to bid again and they’ve lined up a replacement. Any reason why he thought it wouldn’t happen?

We all love United
It’s gonna be Gakpo instead of Antony for half the price, isn’t it? I would hope it is because the bulk of the money will be spend on Frenkie instead because we can get him now

We can always come back for Antony next year

We are probably getting Antony, Gakpo, FDJ, RB and GK. I don't think any position is prioritized over others now. Glazers are all in spending spree now.

Right now maybe not, that fitness will definitely come though. I suddenly have little or no worries about Sancho, I think his game will come on in leaps and bounds with our new system and coaching setup.

He is not on strike.

Just adding some pressure by some social media posts. You can assume that every little snippet of info that comes out is well thought out and serves a purpose. Everthing that came out of his camp can only be translated to 'yes I really want the move but if it doesn't push through I havent burned any bridges at Ajax and its fans and can return to the team without any issue'. By every post he just builts up the pressure towards Ajax to remind them that a strike is possible

Him not playing against a weak oppononent like Sparta is likely a mutual decision. Ajax said his mind not on football which is hardly surprising if you are in a transfer saga like this. It also tells you that Ajax is defintely expecting to sell him (duh)

“if not more”. Why couldn’t the club get on this move sooner?
We did bid early, they asked for a stupid price back then too. Antony kicked off and told them to lower the price.

Things went quiet, then we've gone back in for him again. Antony is now unhappy again because they're asking for such a silly fee.

There's no chance we go over 100m euros that's for sure.

They’re 22 and 25 years old. With some proper coaching, we’ll see what they’re capable of doing. Either they match ten Hag’s demands or they don’t play, simple as that. My guess is that they’ll buy in, as they showed against the scouse yesterday.

He is just a fan and knows nothing. All he gathers are news from sources from NL, so what he says is irrelevant.

Also, we did have a bid rejected earlier this summer, so any talks how we could have gotten him for 1/2 of the price in June are rubbish.

There's no way Antony takes the steps he has, without getting assurances from EtH.

Let's hope not. Gakpo doesn't have the kind of ball control that's required to be able to dribble past players in much tighter spaces, not to mention he got quite a few injuries over the year. I'd rather we spend the quoted fees on a target which the manager really wants.

Antony looks special, Gakpo looks like a good player to have in the squad.

It's reported they won't take any less than €100m. Be interesting to test that stance and see if they would turn down €94m. That's an insanely generous offer

Wow that is mental money and definitely couldn't afford to get De Jong as well
We said the same thing after Casemiro - the money has always been there, clearly. Glazers just didn’t want to spend it.

Something is definitely happening in regards to ownership.
