- The first hour was just so... Dull, just uninteresting character setup, world building that's all over the place and yeah, just takes far too long. Conversations that could take 30 seconds have to take about 3 minutes... Because reasons.

- if Tanaka was only interested in the Zombie head... Why not just make that the mission? Why did they even need a team? She was literally the first zombie they bumped into... They could have been in and out.

- Why did he also not know the combination to his own safe? Reasons I presume.

- Batista's daughter... Why would she think her friend is still alive, why would she think she can find her, and why do I care? All I know about this "Greta" is she's a bad mother and dumb...

- Zombie's hybernate...Because, reasons

- Social Media lady smashes through several Zombies, jumps through a window... And they don't bother to help get out with the 4 or 5 zombies around her? Nor does she use her last words to warn her friend that the evil dude is, well, evil... Because, reasons.

- we have 20 minutes until a nuke folks, now seems like a good time to tell Batista I kinda fancy him... (was that seeded at all!?)

- We have 20 minutes until a nuke folks, I'm pretty sure I can make it across time, through hoardes of Zombies, into the Zombie lair/hotel to rescue my friend (who may or may not be dead) by myself and make it back again

- That whole Greta subplot was just terrible, and the film itself knew it was terrible, as they didn't even bother to let us know if she was dead or alive by the end.

There's loads more, but that's just a few that stuck out.
You've summed up everything I wanted to say. Literally every point

I'd pretty much zoned out in the second half but did they ever explain why Zeus kept Geeta and her mates alive?

It was mentioned by the blonde that let her in to begin with that she'd previously left a bloke for dead and he turned up 3 days later, still alive, having been kept in a room by chief chomper before escaping. Yer man apparently liked keeping a group in a room and he'd take one a day for something. I can't remember any other elaboration.

Stupid. But I really enjoyed it. Its a dumb cheesy Zombie movie, that should be enough to decide if you will like it or not.

'He thinks it would be cool to line the nuke up with 4th of July fireworks'

There was no backstory as to where they picked up the 'King' Zombie and if people were infected where he came from, I'm guessing another plot hole.

Pretty average after all that hype. A lot of things remain unanswered and despite being advertised as a fun zombie killathon, there wasn't that much of it.

Remember when a main plot point in the movie revolved around getting Geeta out, only for them to completely forget about showing if she died in the helicopter crash or not?

I think there's a lot of background stuff that they want to create a universe out of. For instance, you can very briefly see that one of the zombies is a robot. Then there's the whole thing with the bodies at the vault that look like them. Not to mention the very end too. There's talk of a couple spinoffs but I don't think I'm at all arsed to be frank.

The German fella was funny though.

Piss poor film. Characters and plots that were probably written in a 10 minute toilet break. Terrible acting too.

Nothing redeeming about it in my book.

I can't remember why I joined this war.
Pretty much what I expected, fairly enjoyable zombie trash, nothing we haven't seen like 10x before.

The intro montage was probably the highlight of the film, Snyder is good at these apart from that not many noteworthy scenes or jokes that I think I would still remember in a couple of months.

6/10 with a bit of good will.

I quite enjoyed it... I was never really bored even if it was overly long. Some of it was pretty silly but there was quite a few things I liked as well. I strongly suspect there will be a sequel given how it ended.

Shame about the Coyote though... she was pretty hot.

It was so ridiculous. They shouldnt have added the needless 'take the head'. Instead, in the vault, it should have been something else that would be the more 'valuable' thing.

Im still not sure why Coyote was taking people into there, like what was the purpose? To find stuff to make money? I might have just zoned out when they explained that. Like why did the mother go in there with two other expendables? Why did the other two expendable women go in?

Saying that, i enjoyed it for the nonsense it was. But its ridiculous. Batista and Ghost (knew how that would end) were cool. As was the german guy.

While this all is accurate...I turned my brain off, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm probably biased because I like Batista / Snyder / actors that play Ghost, John Dorie and Juice / it has a mother-fecking Zombie tiger.

So yeah, I enjoyed it.

Just heard a good point on a podcast.... Why did Hiroyuki Sanada go to the lengths to both build and reveal a quite intricate and extensive model of his casino... When seemingly the only thing he used it for was to show them what he means by "there's a helicopter on the roof"... By placing a helicopter on the roof.

I enjoyed it. Quite entertaining movie actually. The action was explosive and fun.

However it's very generic and safe unfortunately. It pretty much follows all the generic zombies tropes and cliches and doesn't try to do anything new. If you watched any zombie movie or played any zombie game, you pretty much watched this one too.

The main character was your typical action movies hero. Ok look there's absolutely nothing new here. It's great for 2.5 hours of mindless action zombie fun but don't expect anything else.

I'll rate it a 7/10 because of the fun factor.

It was shit. What fun factor. For fun to be a factor it has to be actually fun. Instead it was boring and shit.

fun isn't a universal thing on judging it. Fun for one person may not be fun for another person

It was mindless fun for several despite the nonsense it was.

For me the German was fun
Seeing batista be Batista around zombies was fun
Zombie tiger was fun
The Vegas montage was fun

it was fun when Juice got taken by the queen zombie

edit: did that arc go anywhere? I've completely forgotten most of the film already

Considering it was 2.5 hours long the time seemed to go quickly, so I definitely found it entertaining. Just have to not give any real thought to the plot and enjoy the action.

A friend of mine sent me this Army of the Dead pitch meeting video just to vent

Basically everything you said. My word. What a waste of time. Finished it in 3 sittings, and still found myself fast forwarding through it.

I'm wondering now if Zack Snyder is real or just a CGI character.

Covid movie, from top to bottom.

What a waste of time... First 1/3 is somewhat decent and it just goes downhill fast. You can skip this one with no regrets.

Not sure why this movie was so long... Could have been decent but then it wouldn't be on Netflix

I usually like Snyder stuff, at least a bit, but this has to be up there with the worst films I've ever seen.

It just wasn't entertaining, too much really dodgy dialogue and yet none of the characters were sympathetic. It was really inconsistent in tone, and story, as well as how it established rules and then broke them all at the end.

Just awful.
