I think this 4 match ban is extremely harsh on Patrice, it was a bit of handbags and nothing else really. Nobody got seriously hurt and everybody walked away unscathed from it so to ban him for such a period of matches is disgraceful really. What did Drogba get for throwing a coin into the crowd and then giving them the middle finger? Was it 3 matches?

Absurd really when you think about it. Let's hope Sheasy can step up and be counted for or is Fabio finally ready for action :nervous:

With all due respect to some of you i think the suggestion that the English FA or any of the others in the British Isles for that matter, do not care about racism in football or that this is a mockery of the work that is done elsewhere, well it's a bit of a cheap jibe don't you think? Not to mention false and an insult to the work that they do in the area and the disparity as far as other nations are concerned.

Attack the decision, the panel, even spin the conspiracy theories and pile chips on your shoulders, however many of you should be better than the above.

Drogba and Carragher get 3 for throwing a coin at the crowd, Evra gets 4 for this. What can you say?

Nice little slur in the Guardian's report from today's game:

Having been hit with a four-match suspension for a post-match scuffle at Chelsea that had few witnesses and caused no injury - heaven knows what the FA might have done to him had he cracked anyone's skull during a game - Patrice Evra made possibly his last domestic appearance of the year at left-back.

Link.

this is fuken bullshit :mad::mad::mad:

we better appeal !
I think it is debatable whether United appeal, the FA are fecked and unlikely to change their minds, if anything they will make it worse. This isnt the worst run of games to miss Evra either plus he will be back for Chelsea in January. The 4 games is ridiculous had he walked up to Terry and done 'provoked or unprovoked' the worst he would have got was a red card and 3 games out, this being in the middle of a match. Yet warming down after a match, where I dont even think he played in some knob starts shit with him and he gets 4 games, absolutely outrageous, maybe 1, maybe. Personally I think the fecking person who provoked should have a lifetime ban from Premier League pitches if they are gonna be this harsh on Evra

Is Evra allowed to play reserve games during his ban and would that be an option in order for United to try and keep him match fit?

Yes,this decision is obviously a part of major conspiracy by the FA to prevent Manchester United from succeeding.

Nothing to do with your players acting like twats and starting a fight with CFC ground staff. Nothing to do with your club changing their story more than once on the incident and their outrageous racism claims which Chelsea vehemently denied right from the start, the claims, that turned out to be lies, by the way.

Whether Evra deserved such a lengthy ban is a different matter. But it doesn't change the fact that it was your players who were largely responsible for what had happened, a fact that somehow escapes everybody's attention here.

Do you ever listen to yourself? FOUR games for some handbags way AFTER the game?

It's ridiculous. And corrupt.

yes cause having a bit of handbags with some fat chelsea groundsman after the game is definitely worse than lobbing a coin into a group fans. well done genius :rolleyes:

Antihenry is an established moron who, for some reason, thinks he can offer authoritative opinions on legal matters. These opinions are almost always exposed as complete and utter nonsense which does, at least, provide some comedy value.

Check out the recently bumped thread on Mikel, for more of the same.
