He's the complete opposite to Martial. Never gets injured, its like he's made of titan or something.

Love the stare he gave to Villa supporters.

Good player but definitely not captain material.

Can’t have a captain who throws hissy fits and acts the drama Queen when things aren’t going his way.

Casemiro is the obvious choice.
Strongly disagree. Bruno is the only choice for Captain. Based on his recent comments I think ETH believes the same.

If we had Haaland Bruno would have finished the game with two assists and the match would have been over at halftime.

Reckon any clinical striker
Reckon he gets an assist or two if we have Toney, or Callum wilson. These are good chances being wasted

You are right. Honestly these aren't the chances you need a £100m striker for.

I still feel the best type of striker that would suit his game would be a player that attacks the space when Bruno lofts a ball. His style just seems to suit a quick forward as he operates so fast, he's so good at finding gaps for runners and it would need to be someone more mobile than Kane I feel.

You’d hope the wide men can do the running beyond, not forgetting that Bruno himself would benefit from running past Kane.

Antony really should have scored that chance when Bruno slotted him in, but didn't even manage to hit the target. Story of Bruno's season. Not that he's been perfect in every game, but he creates so many chances that we just can't convert. So frustrating.

A two goal lead at the half means nothing with this lot.

When we aren't winning he makes a lot of ridiculous decisions (shooting from ridiculous distances, that shot at the end another one)

He tries to force things too much and it kills momentum. At times we just need to recycle the ball and keep it going instead of relieving the opposition defence

Playing him out wide is daft. A waste

One of his worst games for a long while.

Also, said it in the match day thread, but honestly... Injury time roles around and doesn't matter if we're winning or losing, he just turns into an absolute idiot for some bizarre reason.

Martial should have buried that chance from the corner, I thought.

Even when he plays out wide, the right side seems to be his spot. But somehow he was playing on the left side of this game. Just a draft, really.

He shouldn't be allowed to shoot outside the penalty area or inside really.

He was moved wide to accomodate Weghorst. It's actually quite amazing stuff from our manager.

It's the dumbest move I've seen a manager do in a long time. If he wants more steel in midfield, put an actual midfielder there and then I might understand moving Bruno wide.

Terrible display.

Whole team was shite, lethargic and lacking movement. This is where he should be putting his foot on the ball and dictating the game. But nope, he goes into chaos mode and it just gets worse.

You can hardly put a foot when being played out wide with strikers being shite. I am not saying he was not bad, but why put him in this place in the first place? He is almost a sure bet to play less than his normal standard on the left side, but here we go anyway.

When we go behind, it's exactly when there's no space for him to excel in transition. It's the reason why he becomes part of the chaos instead of rising above it.

It's quite a statement that Ten Hag moves him wide in certain games.
It often just seems to make us narrow, and it's not like we've got anyone to head crosses in anyway.

The funny thing is, he was not even put on the right where he could put his crosses in the box to hope and pray. He was put on the left side for the majority of time, and that killed any of his strengths, especially the middle man that he was supposed to link up with, which was Wout.

He might as well rest him and play a real winger.

At least Bruno doesn't make the top 10 worries list.

That'd probably start with the lack of a "proper" striker, then meanders to the fact we have two 80m wingers we can't really be certain they'll be a threat on any given day.
To us having very little depth in centre mid. Plus having quite a few players who are always on the "players we'd sell list" every summer.

It's mad how we're moving one of our more better attacking players out wide to fit in a player who contributes feck all like Weghorst. Even when Bruno isn't at his best, he can still nick a goal or get a crucial pass or assist. Just moving him into a less familiar role hurts the team. Really annoyed that ETH even thought about this.

Couldn't believe he was out on the left to play Rashford and Weghorst centrally.

Should've had another two assists today but for our typical finishing prowess. Can't play left wing, good centrally or from the right.

Bruno's role at the moment is to provide passes for the end of season Man Utd misses compilation.

chaos mode? A bit harsh. This man gets moved around to cover for shortcomings of others. In this game; he played on the left, a bit on the right, in the middle and for some time as cm. All in 90 minutes. This is not right. How can he dictate the game when he’s not able to play a consistent role?

also, bruno is never rested. He has an intense work rate game in game out, runs up and down the pitch, presses and is always selected to start whatever the game is. It’s great he’s always available for selection, but he needs to be given a day off every now and then. This man gets worn out every season.

I think he is quite good on the right where he can ping in crosses. On the left though it simply doesnt work.
We just don't have the players who make proper runs in the box and get into goal scoring positions for him to be effective.
