Best striker we've had since RVP. Maybe it's cuz we've been starved for a proper striker for so long but he has been sensational for me.

Agreed. I never realized how much he tracks back and help out in defense too just like RvP did. I think Zlatan is an awesome player for the short time he was here, but Cavani would have been perfect for us after Robin left.

Hit, obviously. Would be nice if he stuck around for next season.

In 11 starts but lets not put any context to statistics.
Why has he only had 11 starts? Is that not also part of the picture? Like I have said a few times, I like Cavani. But I would rather we went all-in for a striker who will be part of the rebuild and part of the next phase 5 years from now, instead of making him our main striker. If Cavani is fine not being first choice, keep him around.

We need more goals from a CF and he is a good person for Greenwood and Rashford to learn from. Cavani has chipped in with some great goals but the CF for United should be up there with Kane et al.

Why has he only had 11 starts?
1. Because he hadn’t played regularly for a long time when he arrived.
2. Because he was quarantined for 16 days
3. Because he was muscle injured and had 2 knocks which added another 42 days of absence.
4. Because F.A are racists and punishes players speaking romance languages based on the retarded idea that if two words in two languages are similar then the racist colonial british meaning of the word trumphs the actual meaning of the word.
5. Because Ole haven’t played him enough despite him by far being the best cf-option (I really like Martial but he is no cforward)

Cavani has chipped in with some great goals but the CF for United should be up there with Kane et al.
Cavani would surely have scored as many goals as Kane if he had taken penalties and free kicks and played as many minutes.
The argument that Cavani isn’t the future and that Man Utd therefore should go after someone else is legit. Any argument that paints Cavani as a bad choice because he doesn’t score enough goals as a cf is half-whitted.

Said it in other posts, if only we got him 5/6 years ago. Proper predator in the box, old school player. Love it and someone we have missed in that position for many years.

I'd say a hit, he's scored important goals.

I'd have liked him available a little bit more, but we knew we wouldn't be able to use him every game

If we could get an out and out striker as a Martial replacement, I'd still be happy to give Cavani another year if he wants it

Also, haven't the likes of Greenwood said how they learn from him?

We’re just a miles better team with him in it regularly once he hits his stride, despite what so many were arguing on Martial’s behalf for a large part of the season*. We are just better with a proper number 9.

* fecking @Leftback99 was still arguing in early April 2021 that we’re a better side even with an out of form Martial. Mental.

In absolute Beast mode tonight.

Man I wish we had gotten him in his prime, he would have been a United legend.

Has been an outstanding acquisition for us this season. Baller.

If we lose him we can only replace him with Kane or Haaland

Martial up front today and we draw at best

Don't think money is an issue in signing another year. He wants to go home and play his final years. I hope he feels the buzz around the club as we reach the finals and also Ole can assure some good signings in summer might just keep him around. Having a predator is a must for Manutd and after this experiment we still keep Martial as our main CF then its on Ole

Easy to praise him after he was superb today, but his drive and commitment are class every time he steps on the pitch. A massive signing for us

Technically we can just activate the extension I think. The club is just doing right by him unlike the Woodward/Evra thing.
We could, but the key is to get Cavani to buy into another season mentally. Ole is big about wanting players who want to be here. Cavani needs a hell of a lot of training and dedication to get fit enough to play the way he does and how he carries himself has a major influence on the dressing room.

I won't hear a bad word again. Sorry for starting to doubt him after his last injury. I will never doubt you again big man.

Edinson fecking Cavani strikes again !!

He's honestly my most likeable player in the squad even ahead of Bruno.

His movement is unreal, yeah he missed chances and he always missed easy chances even at his peak but his movement means he will always get lot of chances and he scores them at very good rate.

Wish our younger players pick up a thing or two from him.

you feel so much better with him in front especially in this type of games, reminds me of rud. You know that he can score.
