Couldn't find another thread on him and didn't know whether to put this in the teansfer forum or here.

Signed for Chelsea from Marseille for reported fee of £7million. Is he any good?

He's a good player. The best right back in France after Debuchy. He's pretty much complete offensively and defensively. He was Marseille's best player last season

It's a very good signing for them. Wonder what the cost was.

Havent seen him since he went to play in France, think he had some injury troubles in his first season? But I saw him for a Spain youth side with Martinez I believe. They were the two best players.

Whenever I've seen him, he's been beaten by mediocre wingers but then he often manages to get back at them. I base this on about 20 games, so I don't know if others have seen him more. Clearly the caf rates him so I'm probably having a Phil Jones moment.

Same. ACL injury kinda saw him disappear off the radar but I remember him impressing briefly with OM. But, I lost track of him for awhile. He's far down the pecking order now in terms of NT depth.

He used to have decent pace and was a bit like Montoya although I wonder if his knee injury saw him lose a bit of the speed.

Anyone else noticed when they show the line ups on sky sports before the game, with the players walking up to the screen, that Azpilicueta's face has just been photoshopped onto someone else's body when he walks towards the camera

I might be completely wrong, but I'm convinced that's the case.

There are a few players like that, anyone coming into the league after it started

Got elbowed in the face by Buttner, Webb "missed" it.

When do referees finally clamp down on that elbowing phenomenon, I wonder.

Thankfully, none of our Chelsea players is known for that.

Only Chelsea players do it, didn't you know? Or at least it's only considered unacceptable when our players do it.

I need to see a reply of that Buttner incident clearly cos I didn't think it was an elbow.

On topic. Good signing by us, has had a good season and seems a great crosser.

Yeh, I was talking rubbish.

He's actually been really good and competent.

Just seems simply that Mourinho favours Ivanovic.

He is so good defensively; Mourinho will turn him into the best RB in the world
