Champions League Gameweek 1 - 19/09 and 20/09

How's that a penalty.. his arm was in a supporting position?

He wasn’t using it to support himself yet…I guess?

Very harsh, up close and his arm was close to his body.

Worst referee in Spain anyway.

The handball rule as a whole is so bad these days. Maybe they should start awarding indirect freekicks or even drop balls from where the ball was originally played for some of these instead.

Nonsense pen decision. On a side note though, can see this being the best chance PSG get at the CL. Good balance to the side and real quality with Mbappe and dembele on the wings, while kolo Muani should support the wingers well. Also they finally have a good coach.

Isn't their midfield weak though? Atleast from looking at the names they seem like more young talented players rather than established world class players.

Sometimes better to just have a good balance then a collection of names! Ugarte I've heard good things of especially, but yeah definitely not a standout midfield. If they find a good balance and work rate there, then with that front 3 they'd cause any team issues.

Very shallow too. Zaïre-Emery is 17, hard to believe he can start 60+ games at that level of quality. Lee Kang-in can be a decent working CAM. Possibly a CB can fill gaps as a DM.
Best bet is probably adding at least a good midfielder in January.

You can't console the keeper for that kind of error. That's inexcusable. You chew his head out. He messed up.

A Glazer fecking things up in Manchester, at the same time as making Manchester City happy? They are fecking trolling us now. A pox on all Glazers.

That is the idiocy of Terzic's approach.
Putting all eggs in the sitting back and defending basket, you are completely fecked once you concede. And ironically, conceding almost all share of the game and having no time on the ball themselves of course made it more likely that they would concede goals at some point.
It's just dumb, ultimately.

The PSG penalty was such a joke. Super goal from Hakimi though.

Soler, Fabian Ruiz and lee Kang-in can all fill in or rotate for vitinha or Zaire. Ugarte as the holding mid with Marquinhos capable of going there or danilo going there, it's not bad at all.

Though they were hard done by with the penalty, still a pretty horrible performance from Dortmund. Cowardly how they've been set-up.

This Dortmund squad looks quite average, and on paper too. Do they not have any/many emerging talents anymore? Adeyemi is one but I don't think he's a top tier talent.

Tbh that one is a red for the Celtic player.cant do that in Europe
