United could spend £85million on David De Gea, Phi
.......................Van Der Sar

Rafael...........Vidic..........Evans........O'Shea/Evra?

.................Fletcher.......Scholes
Valencia............................................Nani

................Hernandez.......Rooney

Bench: Berbatov/Owen/Giggs//Gibson/Brown/Fabio/Kuszazck

Bombard them with pace! go 4-4-2 as its only a season warm up and see how they handle a front 4 of that speed.

van der Sar

O'Shea
J Evans
Vidic
Evra

Valencia
Fletcher
Scholes
Nani

Rooney
Berbatov

SUBS: Kuszczak, Rafael, Brown, Gibson, Giggs, Owen, Hernandez.

Could easily fit in Smalling, Fabio, Park or Carrick though; either way there's going to have to be a few first-teamers left out.

For me, this is the biggest test of our pre-season.

Chelsea haven't been getting results while we have come through some decent challenges on our travels. Time to find out where we stand in regards to them...

It should be interesting with regard to Rafael, Park, Valenca and Hernandez if Sir Alex is having one eye on the international week. Might give some players who haven't been called up some time. i.e. Macheda, Welbeck, Smalling, Fabio, Owen.

Even though it's technically a friendly, it's always competitive. I'd be intrigued to see how some of the fringe lads would perform in this sort of match...

Valencia was awesome tonight, but since he's just back from injury I don't think he'll start a game so soon after playing 90 minutes. The same goes for Owen despite only playing half the game. Defence is toughest to pick. Evra could do with another game before the season starts, but I'd like to see more of Fabio and Rafael.

Ideal subs would be Valencia on for Giggs in the second half, and Hernandez on for Rooney in the second half, and probably Gibson for Scholes. I forget how many subs we can make in this game, but I'm assuming it's just the three.

Evra could do with 'A' game before the season starts, i wouldnt have thought Fergie would want him to go straight in against Newcastle without any match time at all, then again thats assuming hes expected to play against Newcastle, Maybe hes being given the first few weeks of the season off totally, not heard anything about him even being in training?

Havak - this is considered a competitive match so only 3 subs allowed to be made during the game.

Nearly everyone has left Park out of their squads (and benches)...

What gives?

Game in South Korea, keep him fresh for the Toon. ;)

Wait if I'm not mistaken, I think South Korea prevent Ji Sung Park from playing international friendlies.

I'm so happily this is finally here. This one will not end in a goalless draw.

please rest Berba use Cicha and Kiko
Resting players already? Berba will have the week off now he has retired from Internationals (if my memory serves me right).

Fergie says it's the last friendly before the season so will be playing those who need minutes.
