City winning it by far. I'll be a Chelsea fan for one match only next week.I haven't decided what's worse yet. Chelsea going just one behind us or City winning it their first time.

Are you brain dead ? He took them from 10th to 4th and 2 finals. Is that not doing anythingRight, so Tuchel can't do anything with this team?
Are your signings not good enough?
Ha ha what. You've just got the CL by default and you're on a United forum giving it the big one.Top 4. CL final. FA cup final albeit lost. But yh incredibly overrated hahaha.
Lets see once he's got his own squad
A clinical striker and we're set
I never said that. Some people love to latch on to that 200m number with no context. When it is an amount over two transfer windows, it is a nothing amount. In todays world of massive TV revenues, teams are going to spend or get left behind.Right, so Tuchel can't do anything with this team?

Isnt it a bit depressing to see 8 defensive minded players in the starting XI when you spent over £200 mill on attackers and only one of them starts? I dont think you win the league anytime soon playing safe like that.We won the league title playing that way.
I dont like Azpi playing RWB, much rather James or CHO played out there. I dont see much wrong in playing 3 at the back with 2 more defensive types infront, we still create alot of chances. I mean goals change games, if we took our chances and went 1-0 ahead i think we would win alot of games. The problem is we dont take our chances.Isnt it a bit depressing to see 8 defensive minded players in the starting XI when you spent over £200 mill on attackers and only one of them starts? I haven't blown anything off, I think he's done a fantastic job, if a bit too steady at times.I never said that. Some people love to latch on to that 200m number with no context. As far as Tuchel, he said himself that Chelsea have the squad he needs. It is rather standard to judge a manager over a season that he has input on how to set up his team. Tuchel bailed out our season from 9th to 4th and an FA and UCL final. Perhaps as a rival fan you blow that off, but I see it as a serious improvement over where we heading under Lampard.
Try actually watching us play. We press high up the pitch and make plenty of chances. Most chances of any team since he come in. He can't put the ball in the back of the net for them.Isnt it a bit depressing to see 8 defensive minded players in the starting XI when you spent over £200 mill on attackers and only one of them starts? Pipe down and read. Are you brain dead ? He took them from 10th to 4th and 2 finals. Is that not doing anything
That is the context I was speaking of. It really is not 200m over one window. With the transfer ban and not being able to sign anyone, it is 200m over two transfer windows, which is pretty average for a top 4 club.I haven't blown anything off, I think he's done a fantastic job, if a bit too steady at times.
I just think it's a bit churlish to downplay the investment that has gone into this team. £200m in one transfer window is a lot. Tuchel has had a lot to work with.
What about the 60+ on Pulisic, 80+ on Kepa, 40+ Kovacic, etcThat is the context I was speaking of. It really is not 200m over one window. With the transfer ban and not being able to sign anyone, it is 200m over two transfer windows, which is pretty average for a top 4 club.
Look at what United has spent and what Chelsea have spent in the last 10 years and let me know. What about the 60+ on Pulisic, 80+ on Kepa etc
The club has spent and absolute fortune
Kepa was signed by Sarri in 2018.What about the 60+ on Pulisic, 80+ on Kepa, 40+ Kovacic, etc

No I know. But to say he's not got a team to work with given the money in is daft. Especially when you consider how you operate with signing players. The manager shouldn't make much difference.Kepa was signed by Sarri in 2018.
Both our teams and Man City are spending about the same to stay relevant.Let you know what?
Nobody has made that statement. No I know. But to say he's not got a team to work with given the money in is daft. Especially when you consider how you operate with signing players. The manager shouldn't make much difference.
We drastically need to improve in front of goal. There's no getting away from that. It's nowhere near good enough to be profligate to that extent. We should really have paid for it with Europa League football but we got lucky. They can dominate games with possession, but their forward line isn't enough of a threat.
Pulisic (injury-prone and hasn't been great this season), Ziyech (I don't remember him doing anything), Havertz (Forgettable), Giroud (Can score every so often, but never prolific), Werner (Probably the best, but that pretty much shows the state of their attack - the guy has 15 disallowed goals).
I know they conceded today, but they had enough possession to not be in that position in the first place.
They need a new striker and a new right-winger at the very least.
It's hard to make excuses about signings when we have one of the most bloated squad in Europe. No I know. But to say he's not got a team to work with given the money in is daft. Especially when you consider how you operate with signing players. The manager shouldn't make much difference.
Excellent is over cooked. He's had some big wins, and some poor results, WBA/Southampton/Leeds/Brighton/Villa today. That's quite a few dropped points to consider anything "excellent".It's hard to make excuses about signings when we have one of the most bloated squad in Europe.
Overall I think Tuchel has done an excellent job considering the way our season looked to be heading at one point. He'll have the chance to make it a legendary season next weekend. If we don't the final, then he'll have just turned a potentially disastrous season into a pretty OK season.
Obviously I'm taking the FA Cup and the Champions League performances into consideration too. Overall, to me, he's been excellent.Excellent is over cooked. Of course, if he wins the CL he deserves full praise for doing so. Can't take anything from him if he beats City in the final.
It's the Champions League final mate. No extra motivation required.I was really hoping they’d finish 5th today. That way it would give them even more motivation to win the CL if they wanted to be in it next season.
If we lose next week, it wont be because we lack motivation!I was really hoping they’d finish 5th today. That way it would give them even more motivation to win the CL if they wanted to be in it next season.
He lost the FA Cup final. I mean even we beat Liverpool in the FA cup but we aren't looking back on the campaign as a green tick for Ole.Obviously I'm taking the FA Cup and the Champions League performances into consideration too. Overall, to me, he's been excellent.
The context matters though. He took over a team low in confidence, losing games at an alarming rate, skidding down the table. We were 9th and likely looking at a last 16 exit on Europe. It's fine if you don't agree tbh.He lost the FA Cup final. I mean even we beat Liverpool in the FA cup but we aren't looking back on the campaign as a green tick for Ole.
Yep, I think he'll be out of a job before the end of next season. Just like Conte, or numerous other managers were at Chelsea. So in essence, you believe Tuchel will be fired next season after taking them from 9th to fourth and reaching the UCL and FA cup final. Impressive
Roman cares only about trophies, if Tuchel doesn't win one or is not in contention for the CL and PL next season till the very end, he will out, no doubt. So in essence, you believe Tuchel will be fired next season after taking them from 9th to fourth and reaching the UCL and FA cup final. Impressive
As if you've not sacked managers who've done way moreBrilliant isnt it
He took over a side with immense quality, and a new manager bounce is certainly a factor too, which helps in cups particularly. The context matters though. Oh give over, Haaland improves any team, especially one that currently doesn't have a single on form striker. And with a guy like Haaland it could turn out that they overall don't improve at all.
There are 2 certainties in life. Death and you running into this thread, cock in hand, after a Chelsea loss.Ah the old he hasn't had a chance to sign any players argument, the same one we had to listen to about poor old Lampard all of last season
Tuchel will spend millions, eventually get sacked and then his replacement will exempt of any criticism because they'll have yet to spend millions themselves
