Liquidation of the club seems a proper punishment for this. Erase them from the history books, including on years before they started to cheat. Remove any occurrence of 'Manchester City' from wikipedia, remove their games from 'Youtube'. Ban the phrase 'Manchester City' in English. Burn all the Oasis albums.

This is the thing, City's owner is the vice president or equivalent of the country.
There is no way they are getting punished. Political power will come into play with this.
If they are not getting relegated a 15 point deduction every season for the next 14 years to make up for the last 14 years of cheating they got to start on the back foot every single year for over a decade.
Carry on playing for the next 3 seasons. But win, lose or draw, they will get zero points. And bar them from any cup games. See how much their players like to play for pride.

They’ve been cheating for ages and people move on. PL will do the bare minimum.

UEFA doesn't care about financial fair play, and they also don't care what happens in the English FA, so I'd say you're 100% correct.
