He deserves to get sacked just for that. It's beyond stupid to not go all out for only games that could potentially lead to something. The only thing he did REALLY wrong for me was play a much weakened team in the cup competitions. If you're not at risk of going down & not really challenging for top 4, there's bugger all reason not to go all out for the domestic trophies.
That team shouldn't be losing 4-1 at home to Palace, and that's just the most recent result.Reckon he should have done better with his material?
Who are they?Reckon he should have done better with his material?
Brendan Rogers has been mentioned.Who are the likely successors? What level can they realistically aim for in terms of candidates?
Maybe Sarri is a possibility if they get a caretaker in the meantime.Who are the likely successors? What level can they realistically aim for in terms of candidates?
Not bad at all.Brendan Rogers has been mentioned.
Can they afford Jorginho?Maybe Sarri is a possibility if they get a caretaker in the meantime.
Simeone has been there for almost 8 years now. And don't they get more money than all the rest in Spain (after the big two of course) ? Tall order.Say what you like but Leicester City has ambitions, they want to play in Europe and growing their revenue from ECL, extra matchday gate and increase their global fans, they hope to be the Atletico Madrid of England. A lot of teams in England would rather stay 9-17 and don't want to invest more or try to aim for more.
Over Brent? I'd go for Brent.David Wagner, surely?
Atmosphere was toxic yesterday so probably want a better mode at home games. What's the point of sacking him? They are not going to go down.
Why? If they feel that he’s no longer the right fit for the job, and the team won’t be in danger of relegation, why not give the new manager the last 10 or so games to assess his players and start preparation for new season?Could have waited til end of season.
Atleti is competing with only Barça and Madrid in a league where four teams qualify for the Champions League. Leicester would have to finish above one of United, City, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea just to get into the top 6.Say what you like but Leicester City has ambitions, they want to play in Europe and growing their revenue from ECL, extra matchday gate and increase their global fans, they hope to be the Atletico Madrid of England, they are 22th richest club in Europe. A lot of teams in England would rather stay 9-16 and don't want to invest more or try to aim for more.
To not get beaten 1-4 at home to Crystal Palace probably.Wow. Are they getting relegated?
What do they want?
Forgot about him. Either of the two would work, really. They’ve got a nice core of players who’ve been shackled by defensive football. We all know what a difference a manager who wants to play football can make.Over Brent? I'd go for Brent.
Gives the new manager time to assess the squad heading into the summer so he knows what to do. Leicester have the nucleus of a good team and Puel flatters to excite with how he has them playing/his decisions at times such as downing tools in the cup was shocking. He's not good enough for their ambition. What's the point of sacking him? They are not going to go down.
Yeah, it's a pretty attractive job. Better than Everton. Same hopes and ambitions, but lower expectations and not a recent devastatingly poor recruitment history (even worse than ours perhaps).Forgot about him. Either of the two would work, really. Yeah, Since Simeone taken over, Atletico Madrid was not rich at the time, around 20-30 on the richest club list. They grew up, increasing their revenue and exposure of UCL, they have Greizmann on 400K+, that how rich Atletico Madrid has gotten since 2011. Valencia and Villiard have been more successful than Atletico Madrid in 2000s, no one can top Barca/Real in the league and be more successful than them but Atletico Madrid is very doing well when you consider gaps between them and Barca/Real in revenue and powers.Simeone has been there for almost 8 years now.
