All I heard him doing was buying the land around the Abercrombie Bar in town and turning it into shit.Do people really think Gary has some kind of town planning/building knowledge?

I heard this was a non negotiable when he was bidding to take over.He is personally taking over the Twitter account and will be posting the lineups himself, from his phone
I don’t know how much you know about a minority investor coming into a club but he sure as hell can’t start criticising the glazers in his 1st interview. No one was able to meet the price because the 'avid United fans' were asking for silly money. The 'avid United fans' saddled United with debt, they left OT to rot, they mismanaged the club and yet somehow SJR's attacks are addressed on jassim not them.
I wasn't expecting him to slag off anyone reallyI don’t know how much you know about a minority investor coming into a club but he sure as hell can’t start criticising the glazers in his 1st interview.
He didn’t either , he just said the Glazers never met Sheikh Jassim and jokingly said maybe he doesn’t exist.I wasn't expecting him to slag off anyone really
Ratcliffe is the biggest single shareholder with aim to buy more. Why is this being termed a takeover? Ineos doesn’t own a majority of the shares. Is it even the largest shareholder?
Ah okay. I knew that they aim to eventually own a majority but I didn’t know that they were the single biggest shareholder.Ratcliffe is the biggest single shareholder with aim to buy more.
I believe he has the single biggest sharehold but not more than the glazers if you combine them? I could be wrongAh okay. I knew that they aim to eventually own a majority but I didn’t know that they were the single biggest shareholder.
CorrectI believe he has the single biggest sharehold but not more than the glazers if you combine them? I could be wrong
It's pretty complicated, he's the largest single shareholder and also the largest single % of the voting power of said shares (I think, once fully invested it's ~30%) with the largest of the Glazer's being around 18-25%, so in order to get a majority on any shareholder level decision he'll need to get the consent of one or more Glazer to get something passed. But he seems to be of the opinon that he's got them all onside enough that there won't be any need to just squeak by with a 51% vote at this time.I believe he has the single biggest sharehold but not more than the glazers if you combine them? I could be wrong
Good interview. He's obviously not a silly man but we all knew that anyway. Like most Chelsea fans he's a smart one.

As long as they're no longer in number order. He is personally taking over the Twitter account and will be posting the lineups himself, from his phone
He kind of did though when talking about why so many managers have failed over the last 10 years.I don’t know how much you know about a minority investor coming into a club but he sure as hell can’t start criticising the glazers in his 1st interview.
Wonder who he supported in the 2008 final, do you think he had a reversible kit on?Good interview. He's obviously not a silly man but we all knew that anyway. Like most Chelsea fans he's a smart one.

The dreaded half and half scalf.Wonder who he supported in the 2008 final, do you think he had a reversible kit on?
Probably on the BBC or MUTV.Are any of his full interviews (BBC, MUTV?) available to watch anywhere?
Horrible stuff. The dreaded half and half scalf.
Pretty much my feelings on this as well.Absolutely this.
And yes been impressed with Sir Jim, it's just PR noise so far but it's all the right noises. A huge change from the lack of communication from the previous regime.
And although the Qatari full sale was my preference, I always said I'd gladly take the INEOS minority deal over no change at all.
Basically, yes.So do they now tell the manager what style they want to play and the manager has to play that style or he’s out?
I don't get it for most part but there's times its apt.The dreaded half and half scalf.
Basically, yes.
I'm sure they don't expect miracles and for us to turn around and play possession based football (if that's what they want) immediately with our current players. But they will recruit players suited to play how they want to play, and expect the manager to (over time) train the team into playing the style that they want. Any future managers will then be recruited based on showing the ability to play a similar style at previous clubs.
Also, I do think some people exaggerate how specific that 'style' will be. They aren't going to give the manager the exact blueprint of how everything has to be. It'll be a much more general instruction, and it'll be up to the manager to put his spin on it to make it all work how he wants.

Would you swap Clearlake for INEOS?Good interview. He's obviously not a silly man but we all knew that anyway. Like most Chelsea fans he's a smart one.

Not at the moment but Jimmy has only been at Man United for about 5 minutes and has not had a chance to do anything yet.Would you swap Clearlake for INEOS?
Actually he did... Nice in 2019.Not at the moment but Jimmy has only been at Man United for about 5 minutes and has not had a chance to do anything yet.
Maybe I'll wish Sir Jim got his first choice and took over Chelsea but not yet.
He said in the interview that he doesn't care about that anyway, he wants performance and to win titles he stated 'we make enough money in chemicals, gas and oil' this is his passion project if anything. What I like about Jim is that all he's spoken about is the team performance on the pitch, and nothing about commercial stuff, as he realises that if the on pitch stuff is good, the commercial stuff will follow on.
Smart enough like other ‘Chelsea fans’ to know that United are the superior team and attach themselves to our fan group/forums to bask in the reflected glow of our brilliance.Good interview. He's obviously not a silly man but we all knew that anyway. Like most Chelsea fans he's a smart one.

Not sure it was his first choice, simply an opportunity that was presented to invest in a PL club. In hindsight I think he’ll likely be glad he didn’t go all in on Chelsea as the United opportunity became available afterwards. Not at the moment but Jimmy has only been at Man United for about 5 minutes and has not had a chance to do anything yet.
