The two Brazilian didn't improve much after their early 20's and declined very early. That capacity to change is also a sign of great natural ability. How many players did that?
That is not a sign of ability at all. The 2 Brazilians didn't improve much for 3 main reasons:
1. career ending injuries - this only applies to R9
2. being more interested in partying than in football
3. laziness
Both had the capacity to be so much better, but they simply weren't as obsessed with football as CR7 is. They cared more about enjoying life.
Last but not least, the sheer greatness of being. Yes CR7 is a much greater player than them. He is in the same bracket as Messi, Maradona, Pele, Best, Zidane, etc. Players that were born to win and they simply do.
CR7 will probably go down as a greater player, but not by much, at least not compared to R9.
