People need to get off this guys dick.
You can't argue we didn't make a mistake not appointing him after City defeat last November

Fake facts. He’s only list 5 since taking over. And definitely not 5 in the last 11. Actually it’s exactly 4 in the last 17. But they got 35 points form that 17 games run. More than us, despite the fact we’ve only lost 2.
The ranking since he took over.
Of course, he is right in saying that a winning club must have all its parts working properly… and he is surely assisting Spurs on a number of departments in order to accelerate their growth. It is something that cannot be made apparent through game stats only, but also on players’ attitude and desire, which are clearly on a different level right now if compared with a few months ago. After that… winning titles requires ready-made players, not only exciting prospects… That’s where the chips will fall if he gets a CL spot. Wanting to put him in a bracket (top 6 coach at best) is extremely childish, in that he has repeatedly demonstrated that he is as good as anybody out there at preparing league campaigns (or marathons, at the opposite spectrum of high-variance cup campaigns, which he is glad to sacrifice whenever they distract him from the main target).
Well, it depends doesn’t it?You can't argue we didn't make a mistake not appointing him after City defeat last November
Would you want him to come back at some point?
Wow ok, somehow I had missed it completely. Best of luck to him and hope he can be good addition to the coaches. He has been in and around the club for a while now, before Christmas, on a part time basis. Seems he’s done enough to get a full contract, no idea if he’s a good coach but will be exciting for the younger players for sure.
Only if the Man Utd board decide to 100% trust and back the manager, not the players when the result is not as good as expected in the beginning.Conte is the guy we should have appointed. He has the personality required to sort out the first team, the charlatans and the ones who actual graft.
Missed opportunity.
He is among the best as a head coach but there is only so much he can do. Spurs doesn't have the resource like Man City and United.Conte if he get enough backing from spurs he can build a very good squad in two windows. Players believe in methods and managers when they started to win things.
Managers like Conte has that edge when players look that achievements and then started to win through his methods it becomes habit and rub it on entire atmosphere and fans will give huge lift to team.
Any one can win matches but why saf or pep so special because they have the ability and authority to say what to do whoever that player may be. Conte is also there in that elite group of managers. Spurs are lucky to get him. If they keep him happy and put him as most important person in their club may be he will win the damn league for them within three years.
How are they back to their best? They've lost 5 of their last 11 league games.

it is 2022 already and the SAF or Wenger "manager" role doesn't exist anymore. There are other people responsible for transfer and player recruitment. The head coach is being consulted of course but that's pretty much about it.Not sure about that, his signings at Inter were generally not great. Loads of old players and PL rejects. AC Milan in comparison have been building a young team that will last for 5+ years.
Another way of looking at it is they've won 6 out of those 11 games while outscoring their opponents.
Revolutionary indeedThat is a fantastic method.

Alternatively you could also look at their more recent results to see an uptick in form. They've won 5 of their last 6, with the 3-2 loss at united being the only blemish in a run that started with a 0-4 bashing of Leeds, 5-0 hammering of Everton, 0-2 away to Brighton, 3-1 against West Ham and the Newcastle 5-1 win. 21 goals scored in the last 6 and 5 against, with three of those goals in the aforementioned 3-2 loss against united
His signing at Inter was top notch. With the resources he had, he spend it wisely. He doesn't have blank check, like Guardiola or to sign just top players, cause he was at Inter. Not sure about that, his signings at Inter were generally not great. Loads of old players and PL rejects. AC Milan in comparison have been building a young team that will last for 5+ years.
Yes not sure about anything in future but his track record for coaching ability is top though. Not poch or tenhag can claim the pedigree same as Conte. He is there and done that in his all tenures. Not sure about that, his signings at Inter were generally not great. Loads of old players and PL rejects. I am happy if spurs win nothing in next 20 years. But not sure Conte will keep that spursy trend though. That man is a winner and give it all for his team.I rate Conte very highly but this is really really unlikely. As an Arsenal fan, I obviously have a vested interest in this logic but I think its pretty sound.
To begin with, he's unlikely to stay that long. He has had 8 jobs in management and stayed in only one of them longer than two years. He signed an 18 month contract and didn't move his family to London. Objectively, there is very little reason to believe he will be around in three years.
There are also two fundamental flaws in Spurs' plans for short term success.
First, they are building around two star forwards who are on the precipice of significant decline. Almost without exception, every elite forward who spent big parts of his 20s in the PL over the last 20 years has declined significantly, in effectiveness or availability or both, somewhere between the ages of 29-31. Sometimes still very good players, but definitely a level below their peak and oftentimes only capable of playing 25 league matches a year or something like that. Next year Kane will be 29, Son 30. The following year 30 and 31, etc. For them to even have a chance of contending for the league title, they would definitely need Kane and Son to maintain their current elite level and play ~35 league matches a year for the next couple seasons and the odds are just strongly against that happening.
Second, the end of the Kane/Son window is also the end of the Klopp/Pep window, with both of them still under contract, still having the core of their current teams, and likely doing everything possible to maximize their chances of silverware, especially the league title, over the next couple seasons. Even Conte's brilliant 16-17 Chelsea side - which benefited a lot from not playing in Europe and also catching the rest of the league at an opportune moment - would not win the league against the current incarnations of City or Liverpool in my opinion. And Conte won't build a team that good at Spurs.
Now, is it possible that Conte builds a very good team that has a couple top four seasons? Absolutely. And, honestly, that's probably really what Daniel Levy ultimately wants. He needs the team to get back in the CL for financial reasons and to give him leverage in sponsorship deals related to the new stadium.
I actually think he would have been the ideal manager for us to build the club around. Manages with an iron fist like a young Fergie. Conte only falls out with players who aren't giving him everything. These are the players we should be getting rid of anyway and should always back the manager over.Conte is a top coach but you cant build a club around the cnut and everybody should know this by now
Many don't understand this simple logic. You were run by Fergie in all those successful years by not providing lollipops and dolls to players but shoeing them when needed to. This spoiled childish attitudes from this era players will never go well with manager like saf. He would have slapped Pogba and his big fat agent the moment he talked public about his unhappiness.I actually think he would have been the ideal manager for us to build the club around. Manages with an iron fist like a young Fergie. Conte only falls out with players who aren't giving him everything. Imagine a young Fergie joining United now. He'd be sacked within a season as our current bunch of entitled twats would down tools on him and the board would back them over the manager as usual. The man was ruthless and demanded a huge amount from his players. Remember his post final interview in Scotland. He slammed his players for their standard of play even though they won the cup. He was every bit as ruthless and demanding as Conte is today and probably even more so.
Our biggest problem isn't the players. It's our business focussed board who will always sack the manager other than get rid of their big name players bringing in the big merchandise sales and ad money. The players know this now so play lazily knowing the manager always takes the fall at United.
Van Gaal was right. Manchester United is no longer a football club.

He would be if he got everything he wanted but he wouldnt get everything he wanted. He is like Jose without the moaning and he just leaves.
They thrashed Everton, Leeds (in free fall at the time where even we scored 4) and Newcastle though, three of the worst teams in the league. You left out losing to Middlesbrough in the FA Cup which was one of their most important games left too.
Don't do it to yourself. It will blow up at some point no matter what you just have to hope he delivers the success first.Honestly I think it’s slightly different, I think if he gets all he is promised is more realistic, if he doesn’t get what was agreed he will throw a massive tantrum.

Because I've seen Conte close up. If you really think he will put up with Levy and penny-pinching long term than I can only admire your optimism.I have to say a Chelsea supporter telling another supporter how bad something could blow up is at the very best slightly amusing.
Hope Levy is prepared for the fallout.Don't do it to yourself. It will blow up at some point no matter what you just have to hope he delivers the success first.
He was also humiliated in 3 cup games TBF
An out of form chelsea team destroyed them & their fa cup beating was as bad as ours

When he was with us he told the world how Harry Kane was his dream striker. Now he's got said dream striker he went out of his way to claim he couldn't compete with a team that had Malang Sarr marking him.
Hope Levy is prepared for the fallout.
He would have been issued some form of promises that he will get a lot of what he wants.Conte is one an 18 month contract, it’s not long term. He joint Spurs knowing we don’t bank roll, if he had of been in charge from the start of the season the stats show we would be 3rd right now. I don’t think any Spurs fans think that If Levy reneges on promises Conte is well with in his right to go noisily.
2 cup games. The other defeat to Chelsea was a league game.
Because Sarr is representative of Chelsea’s squad level and Kane is representative of Spurs squad level. When he was with us he told the world how Harry Kane was his dream striker. This is a guy who walked out on the club he played most of his career for where he had a guaranteed title every season because in his eyes he wasn't getting enough. He will want to be backed to the tune of a title bid at the absolute minimum.
