Gaming Cyberpunk 2077 (PC, PS4/5, Xbox One)

My PC can run it easily, so performance wise it would be a no brainer. I just dont like playing anything other than strategy or 4k games on PC.

Im getting a ps5 once someone starts selling them again :)
Yeah, as someone else said, play it on PC with a controller.

@SilentWitness don't get too discouraged. The game is still plenty of fun even on a shit base PS4. The performance isn't great outdoors but the ugliness of the graphics is overstated.

The random crashes are bad.

I'm the opposite of a PC master race person though. I want to sit on my couch in front of my giant tv. Not at my desk. :wenger:

Don’t think it’s at my local one yet, as I clicked on track parcel the last update was 6am saying it was at Swindon MC which is 44 miles away.
Urgh yeh then maybe not. They get scanned in first thing when they arrive at the office to say its being put out for delivery. Shame :(

HDMI cable into your TV and something big sat in your living room for a month should sort that :)

Enjoying the stealth mechanics so far. First foray into that wasn’t dead easy or anything. Unless I just did it wrong. Seemed to work though.

Loving the techno blasting while I’m sneaking around. This is where I’m missing a soundbar. Might have to stick headphones on.

Enjoying it! Spent too much time looking in every corner, ended up picking up a lot of 'junk' and dildos. Not too far in mission wise as I done a few 'wanted' contracts and some 'assaults in progress' to get used to combat, as it is clunky.

Went Streetkid in the end. Wanted to see the City quicker.

One thing I don't like is the police mechanic.

The amount of times I have bumped into something while driving between missions or hit some stupid NPC while pulling up outside a mission and ended up with the police chasing me is frustrating.

Feels worse than the way GTA handles it.

Might be a dumb question, but it says it works for Geforce GTX. I have RTX, does it still work then?
Probably. But I'd email your card manufacturer to know for sure.

Or maybe your card manufacturer already says it on their website. Palit actually mention it directly on the specification pages of their cards:

Yeah it's supported. Might do that then, thanks.

I'm amazed that no one on here or none of the reviewers seem to see where the main influences of this game come from...Riddick and mostly the Syndicate FPS. The former has heavily influenced it, but the latter is exactly what this game is trying to be (the gun mechanics and hacking enemies on the fly are almost identical). Mixed with Deus Ex obviously.

None of that is a bad thing at all, in fact I welcome it.

feckin' hell, the PS4 version keeps forgetting my settings. That is a pisstake, I have to say. That has nothing to do with old hardware. Having to invert the fecking Y axis over and over again is a pain.

Unfortunately, my PC can't handle it much better. Not unexpected of course - but still I can almost hear the i5-6400 groaning with the effort.
What’s your GPU? Minimum cpu is just an i5 3570k, your 3 generation newer should be just fine. You’ll most likely have much better performance than a PS4/XBone

The Xbox One X is 'supposed' to be decent enough, unlike the complete feck pie of the base Xbone. The PS4 sounds just about playable. People will end up replaying it when they get the next gens anyway I suppose.

Get in from work, do the quick update, load it up, create my character, get to literally the first scene in game... Power cut on my whole road ffs.

It's a GTX 970. It runs OK on low to medium settings but the framerate is similar to the PS4 version. Looks better but not by that much, at least not to my unsophisticated eye.

My PS5 is set to arrive in a couple of days though.

I won't have nearly a month of Christmas break in two months' time so tough luck, CDPR. I'm going to play your fecking game whether you like it or not.

(they probably don't care all that much about me, do they?)

I love the fact people say they haven't seen bugs, there's loads of them they are literally all around

Nothing game breaking early on though, and the only thing that's annoyed me so far is the unequip bug it has if you save too soon after equipping a new weapon (it either unequips or vanishes entirely on reload leaving you weaponless).

Also: can't really find the perfect settings for my controller. If I turn down the sensitivity it feels awful slow moving the camera around, if I up it - then the shooting it terrible.

Same issue here. I've just turned sensitivity way down because otherwise I could barely shoot my way out of the intro/training stuff.

It's Karma for trying to shoot on PC with a fecking controller
In all seriousness I've just tried it for myself to test out of interest and there is something very off about the aiming on controller, I think it's an acceleration issue. I had way better luck turning auto aim off completely. Then OBVS went back to KBnM.

Go into Advanced and turn all those things way off. Turn inner dead zone to 0, zoom sensitivity reduction to 2. Then fine tune your sensitivity.

The FPS really jumps around. I thought I was able to consistently get 60fps on my rtx 2080 with medium RT. Then for some reason on non-crowded areas it’s sunk to around 45.

I might just give up on RT and go for 1080p in ultra settings.

No, push higher resolutions even if super sampling. I'm on a 144hz 1080p monitor, and I'm pushing above 1440p and it kicks the DLSS in much better. Also the shadows are pretty shite in this no matter the settings, so try turning all those settings down (and the RTX setting for it off completely) and see if that helps.

You are correct though, the areas you'd expect it to do better in, it really doesn't. Also as I said in a post above, there's one or two in particular making it fell way more laggy than it should no matter the fps, I've just not narrowed the combination down yet.

Only weird bug I’ve really noticed is when a NPC is talking in their mobile and moving, the mobile then ends up floating in Mid air

Had a third crash, again just when driving around.

Annoying, but Ive only lost 60 secondsish of progress each time. Outside of those crashes, the performance has been good.

It's a annoying, but I've played enough open world RPGs to expect it. Don't think anything will compare to mess than New Vegas was at launch, I had to quicksave every 30 seconds

Jesus ,the amount of people I've read who are constantly dealing with crash's in this game.
