Plays for Ajax, linked with Utd in a big way and also been player of the year this season.Good enough for Utd?
At least it wasn't some eurotrance shite or summat.what is with these fecking soundtracks to videos?
Not to be too brutal, but that was a big old festival of feck all. His most telling impact on the game was probably when he almost very nicely assisted an opposition goal.Seems to think quite highly of himself.
I only posted it for the interview at the very start. Not to be too brutal, but that was a big old festival of feck all. His most telling impact on the game was probably when he almost very nicely assisted an opposition goal.
This most likely. He Dutch, our new manager is Dutch, probably another 2+2=5 story.

Agreed. Even as a squad player he looks a bit iffy to me.I would be utterly amazed if we ever sign this lad. Whenever I've seen him (which has admittedly not been often), he's made Cleverly look like Steven Gerrard for Liverpool v Olympiakos in 2004/05
He's mostly played the holding midfield role for Ajax like Busquets does for Barcelona in their midfield 3 this season. He's obviously inferior, but has the same traits, keeping possession, a lot of running, intercepting passes and keeping it simple. I'm not sure we need him since he's similar to Carrick in what he does and these days Fletcher looks a lesser version of Carrick on the football pitch, so 3 players of the same trait would probably be a bit much. We need midfielders who pressure the opposition more than those 3, like Ander Herrera, Vidal, Koke and so on. Whether we can get someone like that is another question. If we needed a replacement for Carrick right now, he'd be a good choice. He's better than Cleverley and Fletcher IMO, certainly better than those above give him credit for.Is he a midfielder or a centre back?
Well, he's nothing like Cleverley so that's a bit of a strange comparison to begin with. I think I've yet to see him play poorly and his consistency saw him pick up Ajax's PotY award last season, so you must have been unfortunate to catch him exclusively on rare off days. I've seen him give unspectacular performances, mind you, but he's always been solid and effective.I would be utterly amazed if we ever sign this lad. Cheers. If LvG wants a player like Blind he should move for Carvalho. He's mostly played the holding midfield role for Ajax like Busquets does for Barcelona in their midfield 3 this season. You wouldn't blame him for going with what he knows though as he has worked with the player and can see how he would fit in with the system he wants to play. Would also be a far cheaper option to allow him to pursue other targets to give us more depth.Cheers. If LvG wants a player like Blind he should move for Carvalho.
Quite a few people have a blind spot when it comes to Daley. Not sure what people see in him.
