He already underperformed here otherwise I'd have been worried Ole would try to recruit him for the British core project
He'll pull something.Of course he would, the guy celebrated like he’s won the WC when he scored at OT, he’ll walk to City if he has too (if they are actually interested).
He'll pull something.
Of course he's PL qualify. The hard truth is that he is not PL level, when taking into account his record with injuries. Unless he lowers his salary expectations by 50% I do not see a team that he could improve.
So in order to not get your attention, he should do back flips, rip his shirt off whilst karate kicking the sh#t out of the corner flag, and going nuts on the opposition fans? The short version is that I find it an unbearably attention seeking form of goal celebration.
He can't stay fit.be funny if he came and turned into the player many thought he would become when he first broke through at United.

Instead he did a subdued celebration. No wonder you are mad a s feck! Eat some food, mate!
Your absolutely right if the truth be told, however for, Danny's own sake I don't think it would be wise for him to return home, as I fear he would be a nailed-on target for the boo-boys.Good footballer but poor finisher
But let’s deal in some facts, that he was injured a hell of a lot and played winger a hell of a lot. The stats don’t tell the full story
Feeling better?
For the money he is earning? No way. That would be a loss for every team in the PL.Of course he's PL qualify.
He was barely PL quality when he was at his best.Of course he's PL qualify.
How much he is earning is inconsequential of whether he’s PL quality or not.For the money he is earning? No way. That would be a loss for every team in the PL.
If you reduce his salary by half, then yes, then he might improve midtable teams (and below).
He was barely PL quality when he was at his best.
Now he's several levels below his best.
Nonsense. I am by no means a Welbeck fan; in fact you’ll struggle to find someone who has criticised his ability as much as I have on here, but to say he isn’t good enough for the Premier League is bonkers. He’d improve every team in the bottom half of the table, comfortably. He was barely PL quality when he was at his best.

63 games in PL; 12 goals; 7 assists in 4 years of service for Arsenal. Arsenal paid him roughly 20 million in that time. If he repeats his best season he would get 5 goals and 2 assists. That's not worth 100K per week. There are better Championship players for that kind of money.Nonsense. Again, what’s money got to do with it? If you want it make the argument he’s not good enough for £100k then I’d absolutely agree, but that would be an entirely different discussion. Bit of a straw man there.63 games in PL; 12 goals; 7 assists in 4 years of service for Arsenal. Arsenal paid him roughly 20 million in that time. Probably thought he could get a decent wage being a free transfer.Tweet

This clown is somehow more deluded than I thought.
Donkey vs GiraffeIt’s going to happen isn’t it. We’d sell Lukaku and sign this clown...
Woodward’s master plan to bring back the Welbz.
Absolutely nothing to suggest that. It’s going to happen isn’t it. We’d sell Lukaku and sign this clown...

He was always available at Man. United wasn't he, the serious injuries happened at Arsenal. Think his fate was sealed when he missed v Bayern Munich. Moyes dropped him soon afterwards and I assume Van Gaal was watching and he didn't want to keep him.Probably thought he could get a decent wage being a free transfer.
He needs to start again with either a reduced wage or a pay as you play wage at a lesser club.
He had so much potential. I really thought he would make it at United. He may have too if it wasn’t for his injury record.
None of them can be trusted to stay fit. They'd have no problems finding a PL club to take them if they weren't made of glass. Wilshere will encounter the same problems when his West Ham contract expires.Mad to think just 5 years ago Sturridge, Andy Carroll and Welbeck were all decent enough strikers who were regularly being called up by England. Sturridge just had his 20 goal Liverpool season and Welbeck was moving to Arsenal for 16m. Now all are on frees and can't get a club with just two weeks of the season to go.
Of course they could sign after window closes but surely with their injury records you'd want a solid pre season at your club rather than coming in afterwards? All the gym work/running on your own can't prepare you for intensity of premier league football.
I did think Welbeck would end up at Palace or West Ham, neither have much striker depth.
Haha, you dont have a clue. He played several times for SAF and Wenger. He was a very very useful player for usHe was barely PL quality when he was at his best.
Now he's several levels below his best.
Pity we ended up spending most of it bringing Falcao in on lone.Best 16mil. we ever got, total robbery.
