Danny Welbeck

Of all the rubbish we have signed up front under ten hag, the club and ten hag decided to ignore signing this guy back for a small fee, I really hope we try to sign him in jan but i know we won't

What makes you think he would want to comeback?

Apparently, Ten Hag was eager to bring Welbeck back to United, and honestly, I think it would have been a great move. Danny brings a level of experience and versatility that would have offered more immediate impact than Zirkzee. That’s no knock on Zirkzee—he’s clearly a player with who needs more time. But Welbeck is a more complete striker, someone who elevates the players around him, and I genuinely believe he would have been a stronger fit for the team right now.

Thank goodness he's gone.

I’m glad he’s had a successful career, but I just cannot get over his shocker vs Bayern.

Never been the most prolific goalscorer, but this is still a fantastic achievement and a testament to his hard work and character, especially with all the injuries he's had. Top man - well done, Danny

Amazing stuff, I wouldn't bet he would even play in PL anymore after those injuries, but he did good, great professional.

Just hit double figures in the league for the first time in his 17 year career.

I was more surprised by the fact he made his Utd debut in 2008.

That's mental and the 2nd part is scary, time goes so quick. Would happily take him back for a year or 2 as back up/3rd choice if he was available. Would bring decent experience and takes away the potential of him scoring against us that he seems to always do.

Well in, Danny boy. He had everything you look for in a CF and his overall play was so composed even as a youngster. If he had even been a good not great finisher he would’ve been a quality player for us. So happy for him after all the injuries.

Was the screamer against Stoke his first goal? If so, my dad was convinced right up until the stadium announcement that Manucho (remember him?) had scored it because he'd spent ages invested in the Angolan national team and talked Manucho up no end.

Aye, 4th of a 5-0 rout of Stoke.

Fecking Manucho he set it up... remember playing African Nations with Angola on PES just for him.

Still only 34..
