Oosh England out, thought Smith was a bit too big for his boots in his interview last night, so not sad for him.

Immense performance from Schindi and Clemens, especially Clemens has really stepped it up in the last two games. We got lucky Cross was absolutely dreadful though and Smith played under his usual level as well for a long time. When he turned it around it was luckily too late.

Fecking hell, Clayton has been scorching hot in the semis and final.

World Matcplay @ Winter Gardens Blackpool
A full whole week of arrows
So looking forward to it.
Was always Taylors favourite event and venue.
Starts with an evening session tonight and full days play tomorrow I think.
MVG looked unstoppable in Poland a few days ago.
Will post my picks later on and interesting to see who other peoples tips are for this Major.

I'll go with Luke Humphries outright
Asppinall and Anderson love the big stage
Van Djuvenbode and Van Den Bergh could do well
So many that you could make a case for
Not a bad match in it and very interesting to see how Josh Rick fares out
Joe Cullen @80/1 is a massive e.w chance.
Really looking forward to it have to say.
These picks obviously outside the big three MVG, Price and Smith.

Tonight's order of play:

Van Den Bergh v Ross Smith

Ryan Searle v. Van Barneveld

Peter Wright v Andrew Gilding

Jonny Clayton v Gabriel Clemens.

Interested the most to see how Peter Wright fares against Gilding who's one tough opponent.

Searle is worth a tenner to win the thing. Brilliant rhythm. Great player

Clemens and Clayton not much better here.
Standards slipping a bit across the board. The sport is nearing needing a refresh at the top, a few elite players are playing as if it’s run of the mill to them now

That's what happens when you saturate.

Before there was maybe one or two big tournaments and the world's every year. Now it seems its every few weeks there is a 'massive' prize on offer. I've lost all interest in it. Its a glorified pub game of great skill which has been exploited to the nth degree.

Great to see MVG, Price and Smith all gone. No idea who’ll win it now.

Wright maybe?
Forced to bet I’d go for Humphries. Along with Searle and Gurney he’s been most impressive and has more consistency than them. Would like Cullen to do it though.

Searle v Clayton absolute belter of a game. Lost track of the amount of ton plus checkouts from the ferret. Humphries v Heta was so strange in the amount of breaks of throw. Humphries obviously will have to raise it no guarantee Clayton will hit those heights again but if he does Humphries in trouble. Cullen vs Aspinall will be a relentless pace. Looking forward to it and a new name on the trophy.

Great game that was, Clayton really feels inevitable when he’s on his game this year. Luke played decent enough but you just CANNOT miss that single 18 there, horrible mistake. And Clayton seemed to be finishing every two-dart combination after the last break, incredible under pressure.

Hopefully Asp can up his level tomorrow and we get an exciting final but I think Clayton has this in the bag.

2nd time in the match he missed it too, he also missed some other chances to pull further ahead early, Clayton when he gets on a roll his finishing on doubles is so good
