So sad to see the German's having a goal line decision go against them in the World Cup.

ITV are embarrassing. Highly controversial goal? How was it controversial? The ball was in
The British pundits have an obsession now with technology and they need to get over it. The next offside by 2mm goal and they’ll cry about fine margins but they’re somehow crying about this as well

Gary Neville still doesn't understand the offside for the first Ecuador 'goal' v Qatar.

Pretty much every VAR decision is either a stupidly tight offside or a bullshit penalty, ruining the game. When they actually need it to see if a ball went out of play they get it wrong. Total madness.
The ball wasn't fully over the line

Doubt you'd find even the most blind Germans agreeing with you.
People are emotional about their own teams. Germany easily outplayed every game they played, bad finishing in every game really and then 1 small period of chaos against Japan which lost them the game. That's cup football for ya.

1.29 - 0.62 xG vs Spain
3.09 vs 1.46 xG vs Japan
5.79 vs 1.40 xG vs Costa Rica

They're out because of a very questionable VAR call in the Spain - Japan game, and a 10 minute chaos spell in their opening game, and then scheduling which meant that Spain were perfectly ok with losing the game. Undeserved/unlucky, whatever you want to call it, pretty much everything says that Germany outplayed their opponents but just didn't have luck on their side

Even some of the pundits don't seem aware that the whole ball has to be clear of the line, not just the bottom of it, and none of the angles clearly shown show that to have happened. That or they're playing dumb just to try and stir up some controversy

Fantastic interview and likely farewell words by Müller. Hate his guts, but it would've taken me all of two minutes to love him to bits if he ever joined United

It's hilarious how outraged ITV is over the ball still being in play.

Wait until the find out the Earth isn't flat. They'll lose their shit.

Because it was an African team that got robbed, not a European team.

What do you expect ?
That's the exact point I'm making - jokers the lot of them. Now it's Germany on the end of what may appear like a poor decision, everyone's up in arms, when it was Ghana, and there was no VAR even, barely a peep from them.

It's no wonder you have people with idiotic, elitist views like "it's unfair to European teams that didn't qualify for the WC that 'poor' teams from other confederations are in instead of them" :houllier::houllier::houllier:

And just now, Souness saying why would you not show conclusive evidence considering Germany is a massive footballing nation.

I for one am so pleased with all the upsets

The ball was in, even if by 2-3 millimetres. But it was touching the line - so it was a fair goal

Honestly it's pretty clear the ball was still in play. Souness sounds a bit silly.
