Not that it mattwrs, but Bruno kicked that guy inthe calf quite clearly. Inside the box. And this ref gave about 3 pens a minute.

Ah you'd have to feel for Hungary. Denied at the death.
Heartbroken and gutted but we had nothing in the tank by the end. We outran the Germans throughout to compensate for their vastly superior quality and you can only do that up until a point.

Still. Two points is exactly two more than anyone expected of us. We scored three classy goals. Led twice in Munich, including scoring one immediately from a kickoff. It has been all brilliant.

Yeah you've got to be proud of your lads after that.

Hard to pick a winner in this tournament. Italy look the best team but have not really played anyone decent. England look solid if unspectacular, France should do well but need to play better.

Could be a fluke winner like Greece 2004
Spain also not so impressive against Sweden or Poland, the big teams can be beaten by anyone..

Playing at home in the earlier must have been fantastic as well.

This has to be said, Hungary was brilliant. Worst group possible for any fourth team and they managed to get a draw against both France and Germany and almost managed to do the same against Portugal

They can be proud despite going out

Yeah you're right I watched it back and they are outside the box when he catches him on the calf.

Yea. It's clearly a foul but VAR can't give a foul..poor from the ref though. Bet he just didn't want to give a pen

I think for Sane it may have more to do with his ACL tear. Hasn't really been on the same level since.
No I'm still convinced it was Pep. Just like SAF could make champions out of Anderson and the likes then Pep and Klopp make their players look so much better. Mark my words City and Liverpool will drop off drastically when they leave because both sides only have about 2 players each that are actually top class. Dias looks like an idiot outside of Pep and he was the best defender in the World this year. They're are so many players that when they lose those coaches they become average. Just like if we had an equivalent squad then it could win the League and CL.

For example Henderson was nothing before Klopp and he is still nothing with England. They are as good as their coach just as United were under SAF. They are still good players but not the level they seem. Just like Rooney for England instead of United. He didn't have SAF for England.

Sane needs to be sacked. Just send him to holidays now, please.

Holy shit this bracket is ridiculous. Belgium/Portugal face Italy, France face Spain/Croatia in QF then winners face each other in semis.

Was hard to say at the time if that Bruno incident was in or outside the box. Some images I've seen since seem to suggest it was outside. I still don't quite understand how it wasn't a foul to be honest. It's far more a foul than the penalty that France actually got, which was utterly ridiculous and especially considering VAR reviewed it.

Good game though, enjoyed it. Looking forward to the knockout stages though.

None of the team from this group deserved to go down. Hungary were excellent throughout.

For Portugal, Sanches was excellent in the middle for the Portugal. He his having an excellent tournament so far. Palhinha looked impressive as well. Could be a solution to our DM problem.

For France, Pogba was immense. Lovely assist for the second goal and almost pulled off a winner as well, only if it was not an excellent save from Patricio.

After Germany equalized, I'd have hoped the players would have a good go and get all 3 points to win the group, it's pretty embarrassing wasting time at home against fecking Hungary in the last 10 minutes.

This 24 teams format simply put has to fecking die a horrible death.

The lack of excitement is obvious.

The 4 best third teams is just pure shit.
You could go through with 2 points.
Ukraine go through with a single win against fecking Macedonia.

This whole tournament is crap.
Not to mention the whole " almost everybody plays at home" shit.

And its 2021 ffs! Call it euro 2021!!!

Route to the final for England as easy as you could ask for.

All the best teams on the other side of the draw

We play Belgium now... if we go through we play Italy... and if we go through that we most likely play France again before the final  that's after a group where we played France, Germany and Hungary in Budapest with a full stadium

You can't make this up, has to be the worst draw in tournament history. 2016 aside our luck with draws is ridiculously bad

And Bruno played like Lingard in Portugal's shirt.
