A good team like France or Belgium will batter this Spanish team. It's so incredibly average. I'm not even so sure what Sweden are so scared of.
Morata and Werner would've been a great partnership.
They're hardly playing the Magnificent Magyars, innit? This is not one of the great Spanish teams
They’ll suffer a similar fate to Barca in recent years - that slow midfield and defence will get horribly exposed against a fast, physical attack.A good team like France or Belgium will batter this Spanish team. It's so incredibly average. I'm not even so sure what Sweden are so scared of.
Isn't Lindelof supposed to be weak and poor in the air?Not sure I would be putting high balls in, it is food and drink to those Swedish defenders, put the ball in low.
Not sure, they do have Lindelöf in their ranks. Not sure I would be putting high balls in, it is food and drink to those Swedish defenders, put the ball in low.
They probably saw Lindelöf and fancied some high balls. Not sure I would be putting high balls in, it is food and drink to those Swedish defenders, put the ball in low.
At the moment I have liked the first half. Very dynamic and intense. They try to play well but are more direct and look for other options.
Gerard Moreno would've scored a couple too. I like Enrique's more direct style. They just need a more pragmatic striker. Like that Atletico Chelsea guy.If Spain had Wout Weghorst up front they would be 5-0 ahead by now.
genuinely amazed he’s still playing and starting for a decent national team like SwedenPeople moaning about Sweden playing poorly, they have a man who many thought had retired after his team were relegated four years ago on the right wing.
It seems Enrique is focused on bring through the young players. Not quite there yet but there's potential. This is not one of the great Spanish teams
Don't think he is better in water tbf.Isn't Lindelof supposed to be weak and poor in the air?
Euro96 vibes. This is not one of the great Spanish teams
"Striker" is generous.Morata truly is one of the worst top level strikers I have ever seen in my life
Still, could be worse.Koke, Thiago & Co. are such underwhelming successors of their golden generation Xavi, Iniesta, Villa & Co.
Think they have played some good stuff, the problem they have is not having a goalscorer. Is it just me or this Spain team looks so uninspiring? From Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol to this team. I don't see any standout star players. I mean Morata was basically a Chelsea reject who couldn't make it in England. Feels sad watching this team now when they were at their prime one of the greatest international football teams from 2008 to 2012.
Yeah, would've gone well wide.Think that last replay from the opposite angle showed Isak's shot wasn't even going on target.
On paper i'd agree. Barely know any of these players, in terms of prestige it is probably the least spanish team i have ever witnessed in a tournament.A good team like France or Belgium will batter this Spanish team. It's so incredibly average. I'm not even so sure what Sweden are so scared of.
He probably knew this was enough to keep the swedes at bay. The big guns will come on and finish this game.It seems Enrique is focused on bring through the young players. Not quite there yet but there's potential.
Most our players play in lower teams, why would we not park the buss?Spain aren't impressing at all but hell how poor Sweden are...
CloseBetter than Peter Waltons?
Their defence is poor.If Spain had a Lewandowski up-front they would demolish this competition. Have all the rest of the tools except a clinical finisher in the team
I agree, that was poor defending.Massive error by Torres for that Sweden chance, being drawn to the ball letting the lad run off the back of him
Moreno is on the bench. Should have brought him on.Think they have played some good stuff, the problem they have is not having a goalscorer.
