Maguire is way to nervous. Stones is mentally weak. Walker is a physical beast but totally brainless.

How in the fecking hell are these players better then Chris Smalling. England need proper defenders, not this shit.

I love seeing (some of) the Irish and Scottish posters being so dour about England and the TV coverage.

Not saying Smalling is Beckenbauer, but he is a better CB than Walker, Stones and McGuire.

Walker is a great player, but he is not a CB, he is a leftback or a left wingback.
Probably but I suppose Southgate has looked at things and saw he was involved in last euros and world cup and wants to shake things up.

Actually really surprised Cahill hasn't started this, he played well in the friendlies and has the tournament experience the others lack.

2.4 - 0.1 actually (plus a pen for tunisia). Pretty crazy for 1 half
Where did you get the live stats? Read about it on twitter a week or so ago, but couldn't find it when I wanted to check myself at half time.

I love watching the emotional roller coaster English fans go on every tournament. Makes me happy that my own country’s team is too shit to compete so I don’t have to experience it first hand.

Mediocre. Should never be starting ahead of Rose in the first place. Get's the ball, checks back, passes back. II swear I saw him pass back to the GK from the half way line. Should have been fined a week's wages for that
Yep clear agenda like I thought.

It’s okay, we usually get some great value from England.

At this rate we’ll get petitions out on this ref soon.

VAR should give a penalty for that foul on Kane. Totally unacceptable.

Emotional rollercoasters are what supporting a football team is all about.

This must be the first time ever these commentators have seen a corner take place in a professional game.
