Bayern will win 15 in a row over there.
How is the announcement going to affect his form more than... you know, him having made the decision?Have to agree, absolute joke for the timing of the announcement. Could easily affect his form. League turning into a bit of a joke with the rest of clubs just feeder clubs who can't come close to Bayern.
Free transfer?
Release clause of some 42 million €.Release clause I guess
Feels like this happens every year. I do wonder how they‘re allowed to announce deals in the middle of a season when the transfer window just closed, why would Leipzig allow them to?Have to agree, absolute joke for the timing of the announcement. Could easily affect his form. League turning into a bit of a joke with the rest of clubs just feeder clubs who can't come close to Bayern.
That’s how German football works, deal with it.To announce this mid season when Leipzig are second and challenging Bayern is a disgrace, they are one if the most awful clubs around and hold a monopoly on the entire league. Only hope one day the club burns and the league becomes competitive again but judging by how every other club bends over for them that wont be happening anytime soon
Yet, Bayern seem to dominate Europe year after year - especially English teams. Can't see the pace of the two leagues has any importance when talking individual players' performance and potential.I'm sure it is, we don't face counters and transitions so much in Bundesliga, and the pace is so much slower.
It can certainly affect team morale (both ways) and clearly shouldn’t be allowed. How is the announcement going to affect his form more than... you know, him having made the decision?
We can.I forgot Bayern could just do that.
Is it April Fools Day already?Well we need a center back with pace and speed, and if FIFA 21 stats can be trusted in anyway.
Victor Lindelof: age 26
Acceleration 70
Sprint Speed 74
Dayon Upamecano: age 22
Acceleration 69
Sprint Speed 84
Ibrahima Konate: age 21
Acceleration 68
Sprint Speed 79
Lindelof beats them both on acceleration, but his sprint speed is lower (We often see him and Maguire getting outpaced by forwards in a chase) so when it comes down to sprint speed Upamecano is the one you want.
(Granted I don't watch the Bundesliga, and know there is much more involved in picking a CB)
Problem is....I don't think Upamecano wants to come to United when he has Bayern Munich and Liverpool (The last two Champions Cup winners in the running) to get him this summer.
Apparently this has left us in a competitive race for Konate with Chelsea, who also sees the writing on the wall with Upamecano,
We can.
Thank you, Leipzig, NEXT!!
For most smaller clubs like Dortmund and the likes, those release clauses literally are their business imo. Only thing really worrying and wrong about it is if the release clause simply is too low. 42 m € for someone like Upamecano is not market value. Those clauses should be at least as high as the player's market value, though. If the clause is high enough, it doesn't matter at all, since bigger clubs like Real, Barca, Bayern and EPL clubs can throw around with insane amounts of money and the likes of Dortmund will almost never be able to hold onto them anyways. Especially Dortmund showed in the last decade that no matter if there's a clause or not, their top players can leave and will force a move, if necessary. As I said before, the real pity is if the clause is too low. That’s how German football works, deal with it.
A club looks like challenging Bayern, Bayern steal their star players and fecking love announcing it mid-season, which should of course be against all laws of the game.
