This is extremely unlikely to happen, but when a player has a low release clause, I would fully expect him to play hard-to-get, even if interested. It’s he who holds all the cards and has most to gain from negotiations, as he would be free to move should he so wish. There’s no way he’d be leaving for £150k a week though.
