Sweet :D

Will give this a listen tomorrow. Love Maya, her production is out of this world. Saw her at Warehouse Project too and she nailed it.
Spot on Mate, All her best tracks are unfortunately unreleased :(

Mate, What do you think of Danny Howells? Completely underrated DJ. Pioneers of the Deep-tech house movement.

You should see mine. I've had 8 listens in Vietnam. How does it work, if the same person in 'Nam listens to it 8 times does it count them? Or does it have to be different people?

Also had a download in Croatia which is cool. And one in Spain but I'm guessing that's my mate in Ibiza.

Some nice mixes fellas. Added my last 2 sets to Souncloud, have a look:

Dub-C Set Better than your average (part 4)
Dub-C Set Better than your average (part 3)
Will have a listen tonight mate!

Meant to listen to this ages ago then forgot, sorry mate!
Quality though, that's proper down tempo!
The Nick Galemore track was only playing through one side of the headphones for some reason, but added to the trippy journey down tempo takes me on
What do you play on?

Anyway, here's a Beatport chart I made because I couldn't sleep.
Most of its brand new stuff, only out a few days. Will probably use some of it in a new recorded mix soon.

On another note, had a gig last week. Mixer wasn't working properly so could barely hear one deck in the headphones, which wasn't great for beatmatching. Then just as I was bringing a track in the cdj just stopped for no reason. 40 seconds left on the track that was playing out before the club goes silent.....pants were shat. Still had a good crack though and my set went down well.

Hmmm... will look at that later today.... ta

Glad you enjoyed the mix. I was quite surprised by that Nick Galemore track as well, but the rest of it had gone together so well that I just left it! First time I've ever played that down tempo I think. The next one will be a bit more up beat.

I use an "obtained" version of Traktor Pro 1.2.4. Just find it works a treat for what I want... which is simple beat matching and fading. I never try to do anything too clever.

Sounds like a nightmare gig to me. I haven't played out for years but I've had all sorts of issues including Traktor crashing spectacularly on me to the point that I had to try to cue a track in from Windows Media Player so I could restart the software. I was sweating like a pig...

 Cueing in Media Player. I'll probably move to playing out on Traktor eventually, through the cdjs. I'd still take my cds though just in case.

At the moment I own cdj800s, which I love, but record mixes on my Kontrol s2 (with Traktor) because I don't have an external soundcard. Traktor Pro 2.6 is decent if you can 'get hold of it'. Has a better mixer option which makes the eqs more like a djm or xone one (even though there are other options called p600 and xone which are meant to replicate them). 2.7 even has key detection but I've not bothered upgrading yet.

Agree on the nothing too fancy style of mixing. I like to let the track selection do the talking with minimal fx. If it's good enough for the likes of Sven Vaeth and Move D, it's good enough for me.

Just had a listen to that chart... there's a couple of tracks on there that I'm really liking. The Ali Efe Dinc and Switchbox tracks are excellent.
The Ali Efe Dinc one I played at that gig. Went down well. Jupiter Jazz who remixed the Switchbox track, is Maceo Plex and Danny Daze, so expecting some big things from them!

Boiler Rooms decent but prefer Be@TV, specially in Miami the past week or so.
Gives you chance to listen to the finer details of the way big DJs mix, which you probably aren't taking notice of when you actually see them live.

Mixmag Lab is good as well. DJ Marky's was especially so. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it because DnB isn't my thing, but he started playing house and his skills and energy are impressive.

Another good one is the Ibiza Sonica Pioneer DJ Sounds, or something. It gives you a real close up of the mixer and decks to check out what they're doing.

Sweet! Will check it, especially Be@TV, with shit going down in Miami :D

EDIT: This is sick, watching Solomun and the Dynamic crew destroy Miami

Danny Daze's set in Mexico is wicked as well, Jupiter Jazz

They were playing live sets from Miami all of last week (or the one before that). What was that about?

Missed that post, will have to check Danny Daze's out, loved him at Sankeys in Ibiza. Hope I get chance to see Jupiter Jazz when I'm out there this summer. Saw Maceo on sun at Circus and he was immense.

Winter Music Conference and Ultra Music Festival

Party is shifting to Germany now for Timewarp
Yeah WMC, big get together for all the DJs basically!

Don't think I can watch any Timewarp stuff because it just makes me wanna be there.

Is this stuff year round? I wouldn't mind zipping in for a few days to one of these if they come around my area.
What do you mean? Be@TV is at various events but will probably concentrate on Ibiza in the summer, I imagine anyway. You're from NYC aren't you? There's loads going on there isn't there? I know Circus (the same one I went to in Liverpool on sunday) has a night there every now and then and they've just opened a Sankeys (just as the one in Manc is closing :( )
