Andy Mitten doesn't work for MuTV or for Man Utd in general.

Atleast 3 people have already pointed this out. Read the posts man.

I submitted a question to Mitten for Woodward about Beckham which seems even more relevant now. Hope it got in.

Following SAF was always going to a complete and total nightmare. I'd see many managers turning it down. In a year or so, that will change but following a man many consider Godlike is foolish.
It's a great point. Which is why I thought we should have gone for Mourinho even if he wanted to up stick in a few years. Then get Moyes in, I doubt the pieces would be left broken on the ground.

However all this has done to serve is bring out the knee-jerkers and moany twats who really should just be sticking by the manager and sitting back and enjoying the ride. Most are but plenty have taken their supporter cloak off and outed themselves as bell-ends.

Moyes will have more than enough time to get it right. Hell it might even be as soon as this season. But the whole ABU circus and even United fans themselves jumping on the hate train is a bit pathetic. Farcical to watch for the more sane fan.

What happens if Mourinho had won the league with us, maybe Europe...Moyes would still have had the same task then.

Hard not to like what Woodward said in that clip although words are cheap. But I was surprised that he sounds like actually watches football

Yeah, agree. But he is english after all, would be bit more surprised if he was an american CEO being brought in.

I'm just pleased he doesn't sound anything like his face would suggest.

He's completely unapologetic about the farce that was the last transfer window. Whole lot of words, and only a microphone headed shit Belgian to show for it - and for a shocking price, add to that.

He's simply trying to save face, but credit to him for having the brains to wait until the storm had passed before making these remarks.

Don't like the guy, seems like a proper Glazer man.

He went by the name of Wayne Rooney
He's echoing my thoughts. Time for some action now Woody!

Who knows? I don’t like the fact that, in the list of 25 players in the Ballon d’Or, we’ll have Robin and Wayne. I don’t like the fact that there are consistently more players from Spain on that list. We as a club should be aspiring to have the best players playing for us. We’re in for players if the manager wants to be.
I don’t like the fact that we miss him (Ronaldo) as a player., he was phenomenal. I’ll always remember him at Arsenal in the Champions League semi-final. That guy was a genius, an absolute top, top player.

He came across well in that. Some much needed PR on his part. I'm optimistic we'll be much better prepared next summer.

Since he says he's the negotiator, I would have liked him to have been asked about paying extra for Fellaini though.

He does come across well in that interview and talks sense. Atleast he admits his own inexperience.

I do think losing both Gill and Fergie in the same summer really fecked us over and he pretty much seems to admit that himself.

"All we try to do is pay the right amount for a player. We’ll pay a bit more within a range like we did with Fellaini, but we weren’t willing to go to 36m euros with Herrera"

Right then. Idiot. Good luck signing top players then. We'll be left behind soon enough if we keep thinking it's 2001 and we can get some of the best players in the world for 25 million.

I'm thinking he's full of shit. Reading that interview after that ridiculous summer really makes my blood boil.

As evidenced by your 'pursuit' of Cesc Fabregas.

United ready to talk big more like.

Just re-read the first paragraph of the MEN story. They need a new sub. Here's what it says:

"Chief executive Ed Woodward has raised the possibility of Manchester United going back in for Ed Woodward and said the Reds' increased revenue will allow the club to spend big money on top players." I copied that from the link.

Same old shit from United hierarchy.

If it happens, ill gladly eat my own words but the fact is we are unable to sign "top, top" players and its catching up with us.

He mentions Carrol and Torres "were they worth if?" No, they weren't worth the premium. But Hazard and many others have proved to be worth the extra few million.

Things probably need to go to shit before we will push the boat out like all our rivals regularly do an sign a top player - as then there will be an economic reason.

It's a tough situation as we are a business and our competition are charities or billionaire-sponsored passions.

He had to say something sooner or later, though. If nothing else it will allay the fears of those who thought he had yet to return from his trip down under.

It means feck all of course - until we actually sign a world beater or two.

Why are people criticizing him for talking though? It's basically what he has to do for now, it's not like people weren't screaming for a statement to be made after last summer. Of course if it turns out it's a load of air, then people can be mad at him, but what he's doing now is a PR exercise and a very good one. Some people just seem to want to be outraged for the sake of it

To be a club on world class level we need both players with the highest potential but also world class staff that knows what it takes. At the moment we have coaching staff from Everton and a CEO that made the club look like a joke last transfer window. He can talk as much as he wants but he hasn´t proven anything so far.
