There's a rumour on Twitter that he has passed away.
Edit. It's been confirmed. All Iknow about him is that he was a big deal in the 60's leading Benfica to several European Cup finals and winning a few. He also won the Golden Boot at the '66 World Cup and led Portugal to the semi's. The 60's seems to be a great decade of football with many insane talents.

Just heard on BBC radio 5 live. Saw a documentary on him recently. One of the best all-round centre forwards the game has witnessed , and easily in the top 10 all time greats for me. R.I.P.

Sad news.

Before my time, but have heard and read a lot about him.Legend of the game and a bit of a United fan to. R.I.P

Admittedly I've seen very little of him, but he looked an absolute beast. Probably one of the most physically gifted players ever. His goalscoring record speaks for itself. Legend.

R.I.P.

Lightning quick, with one of the most ferocious shots I've ever seen, and that was with that old leather ball.Great goal scorer, great player...absolute legend

RIP The Black Panther

Before my time too, but I've seen enough to know that he was an amazing striker. Sad news.

RIP

One of the great players of my childhood, a player to be admired and feared for United fans of that time.
RIP.

An amazing player inextricably linked to United history for his incredibly gracious attitude toward Stepney in the '68 final. What a class act. RIP.

If I ever came up against him, I would have subbed myself off. What a player.

This was a bit unexpected, haven't heard anything that he was sick.

RIP Eusebio. One of the best football players of all time.

Legend. RIP.

RIP to one of the all time greats.

I'll treasure his autograph on my football, a fine moment for me.

Both have been attributed to Eusebio.

Panther was more appropriate;he moved with such pace and grace, and had so much power.

One of the true legends of the game, a monster of a footballer. Impressed at every level he played at. Every time I think of him I think of all of his world cup '66 games I've watched, and he was truly frightening. RIP.

A legend, before my time but clearly one of the greats. Will be missed greatly.
