Track issues curtail morning session
Morning session will NOT be resumed amid these track repairs, the FIA has just announced.
The lunch break has been brought forward and we'll now run for five hours in the second session from 11am UK time until the scheduled end at 4pm.
F1 confirm it was a drain cover that came loose at Turn 11 and are now expecting the repairs to be confirmed within the next hour.

Possibly the same drain cover at Turn 11 that came loose yesterday to cause a suspension to the morning session?!

Either way, that's a concern that one of the covers has been brought up again by one of these 2024 ground-effect cars going over it.

This is a warning to other tracks to make sure their drain cover are secure, we saw in Vegas how much damage one can cause, what we don't want is a serous accident resulting in driver injury.

Either Charles is messing around or Carlos is seriously putting the pressure on early. Seems he has well pipped Charles' times across all practice sessions unless I missed one. Im really hoping for some spicy driver battles at Merc and Ferrari.

Ferrari were on the C5 with Red Bull on the C3, so although there's still the engine power and fuel load unknowns it's a quicker tyre. Mercedes could be sandbagging but again, they were on the C5 so seem a bit nowhere. Russell said he liked the car yesterday though so they could be hiding a chunk of pace.

Ha Max not even bothering with practice start/safety restart practice.

Ferrari still looks good, impressive little lap from Russell. Still feels difficult to reach much into all this other than that it seems at least the ones closest to the top last season probably still are, save for AM who seem to continue to lose ground.

Has anyone tried to watch drive to survive yet? Trying but it's just crashing, have tested by trying one of the Sunderland documentary episodes and that's fine

Looking at the descriptions, Red Bull aren't even mentioned as having an episode about them, which you'd think would happen after such a dominant season, do they refuse to allow it or something?

Working fine for me, first episode is all about Stroll / Aston. No real point following RBR as it's bit too predictable.

Watched one and a half episode of DTS on the plane to Manchester today. First time I've ever watched DTS. Found it a bit.. meh tbh. Lines of commentary that aren't real, stuff taken out of context.. it's all just a bit fake. F1 dipped in hype sauce. Or whatever

Yeah - everyone is predicting another borefest of a season unfortunately. I think it is interesting to see Ferrari and Merc performance improvements in hope for the next season. Got to find something interesting to look forward to!

Hopefully Ferrari can maintain a good showing not won since 2007 (still don’t expect them to).

After watching , some of testing, I fully expect Max and RB to be the front runners.
Hopefully Mercedes, Ferrari and one or 2 others will at least put some pressure on them, but I seem to remember saying the same last season, that panned out well !

The paddock seem to think Ferrari are the front runners of the group to challenge RB, as it looks like they have got the handling of the car right this year even in windy conditions, which should lead to less tire deg issues

First FP of the season in on Thursday.
I have set up a Fantasy on Superbru, it was good last season, I see no reason to change it.

So, if the races are on Saturday, does that mean that everything is essentially moved forward a day? Eg practice starts Thursday, qualifying Friday, and race Saturday?

Also are any of these races sprint weekends?
