Not sure how it is in Englans but does anyone really care about the cups? In Italy, none of the big teams do and its mostly seen a second rate competition. Even now you see teams resting players when they play these cups.
There's a difference between resting players & playing your academy though.

Everton are bottling bastards against Liverpool. Struggling against their fecking youth team. :houllier:
We started with 5 players who've regularly featured in our first XI + Minamino who should become a 6th. A far cry from our team against Villa in the League Cup.

Klopp’s put this team out just to humiliate Everton; high-level twatishness by the German.

Elliott looks like a total bellend. Has a haircut like a big-time Charlie when he's still a sperm in terms of his career.

Everton are fecking shite. They should just forfeit every game vs the dippers, at least that's less embarrassing than their permanent 'bend over and take' routine.

Liverpool winger Harvey Elliot was born in 2003, how fecking old does that make you feel? :)

This harvey elliot is only 16? He already has really good footballing instincts, similar to Graelish at a young age when he first came on the scene.

Everton are playing against a very weak Liverpool side and are still bending over and lubing. I for one am shocked.

It doesn't matter tbh. We are playing a near full strength side who have good match fitness and once again a bunch of our seniors are melting under the pressure. We should be winning this and we aren't playing with any meaning to win the game.

Adrian, Gomez, Lallana & Origi are all backup players who all barely ever start. The rest is your youth team.

Everton not winning here would be pathetic.

Williams & Elliot look like they could be in your senior squad soon based on this game. Ballers.

It is mixed in England. Mourinho and Pep has always gone for it. Teams near relegation normally gives up on it. Teams in the middle often go for it. Liverpool and Spurs have not focused on it much recently or just not been good enough.

I think in Spain and Germany teams care more about the cup I think. Barca often uses Messi even in the early rounds and Bayern go for it fully all the time. It is big in France too.

Ref letting everything go for ‘pool and the broadcaster not even bothering to show replays of the incidents any more either
Not even bothering to hide the bias anymore. Youngest team, amazing! Basic save, incredible! Tosser with pony tail, I'm gonna cum!

3 big saves from Adrian. Everton could be out of sight by now. They need to be more clinical or they will regret these misses.

Everton’s inferiority in the Merseyside derby is an embarrassment. They’re making a meal of beating their reserves.

I really hope the rumours of Richarlison to united are rubbish.

He’s just the wrong side of bang average, bordering on poor.

Maybe not quite youth team but not far off and you’ve lost Milner early and it’s Minamino’s first game. Everton’s playing their starting 11 it’s piss poor from them.

Not sure about Anchelotti watching this. Should be doing better against this C-side from Pool.

Pool have the possession but are doing nothing up front. If anything Everton are playing more like Pool - sitting back and hitting them on the break. I feel Liverpools backline will get torn apart in the second half.

Literally Everton should've got 3 goals. 3 lovely chances all straight at the keeper.

But even Liverpools reserves look more cohesive than United.

Not watching the game but surprising how united fans have not started to overrate Minamino already considering united fans here in caf love to overrate anything our rivals do.

The kids will tire 2nd half. Maybe this is why Everton are passing them the ball all the time.

He looks at least on par with Lingard! Is that overrating?
