Seconded. So he played as an attacking wide player most of his career and people wanna see him in the centre already? He doesnt show any kind of passing and vision ability to justify that nonsensical David Silva type of player comparisons. He´s a better crisper version of Daniel James with a lot of time on his side. Not exactly a passer or creater but a great dribbler with some acceleration as his biggest assets..
Agree. Many have made the Silva comparison, which is reasonable if we think about technical attributes and his old AM (often wide) self. Going from that to Silva at CM in a very particular setup is a massive stretch.

Judging by these 3 games he played for U-23's, Elanga was better.

Elanga's been on the bench before - they often rotate the players and give them all a different chance.

I don't think that he is yet ready. Too much is going on in his head. I think he will get a game against in Cup competition but don't expect more

Only really seen bits and pieces but not getting Mata vibes to be honest. The difference in pace and being right footed makes him a totally different player to what Mata offers on that side. I'm not sure who he reminds me of, rarely see right wingers beating a man on the outside and pinging crosses in anymore. It's nearly a throwback to the powerful running of Joaquin

He looks a very gifted player with the ball at feet. Hope he develops the rest of his game given the basic talent is there.
Probably needs to settle down at Manchester, learns a couple of communication basics, and he is good for the first team.
