Wildcarding next week. Need some advice.

1. Antonio + Son
2. Lukuaku + Benhrama/Raphinha

Already got Ronaldo, Third striker will be a 4.5.
Personally speaking I'd only want a 4.5m striker if it facilitated the 2 big strikers. Not just an Antonio level player.

Disappointed that Duffy is trailing on xG. You really expect better from a player of that calibre.

Antonio not even on bench.. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
Par for the course in this cup.
Even the teams who won't win anything and won't go down rotate heavily.

Heck, even my league 1 boys rotated heavily away at City last night!

It's a shame TAA is so vital to own. Would be very happy with the following otherwise.

Sanchez (Steele)
Dias Shaw Rudiger Livra (Omobamidele)
Salah Raphinha Sarr Gallagher Doucoure
Ronaldo Lukaku Toney

Pretty much every starter would be a talisman and/or nailed to play every week
Switch out Toney and bring in TAA for Shaw.

I got twitchy late last night and brought in Sarr for Trincao.

So much for carrying a transfer over....

Sa
Shaw Rudiger Tierney
Sarr Salah (v) Jota Greenwood
Bamford Ronaldo (c) Antonio

Subs : Steer Allan Williams Ayling

£0.6m in the bank

Probably the last week for Jota so a leaving gift would be nice.

Think I'm gonna do Traore > Sarr today or tomorrow.

I have the exact same team except Sanchez in goal and Matip for Tierney.
+ Coady and Livramento on bench.
+0.9m in the bank.

What are your plans for coming weeks?
Think Jota and Greenwood could be out of my team soon, upgrade defence to another Chelsea defender, maybe Man City defender from GW8.
And maybe Ronaldo > Lukaku from gameweek 8.

Until those plans are in tatters when 2-3 players get injured/suspended.

Ok so plans (assuming nothing goes major tits up) are probably...

GW7 - Jota out for Raphinha (Gallagher interests me as well). I also wanted a second Chelsea defender in here (Alonso or James) for Ayling but I'm not sure I want to take a hit for it.
GW8 - This is where Ole said Rashford will come back (after the international break) so maybe Greenwood has to go here. I know it's Pep but I'm looking at someone like Grealish here maybe. Torres if he's still starting 90% of games.
GW9 - Lukaku in for Ronaldo for 3 games. Shaw needs to be gone here as well so this might be the time to bring in Dias or one of the Chelsea defenders for a hit.

It would be very handy if Greenwood could make himself undroppable in the next couple of games though. I could then squeeze in that defensive transfer instead and leave him a bit longer.

I keep forgetting about Raphinha. Thats why I havent done Traore > Sarr yet. Raphinha looked very good v Newcastle. Just the injury concern.
But im thinking along the same lines.

GW6 - Traore > Sarr
GW7 - Jota > Raphinha - - Leeds have Watford (H), Southampton (A), Wolves (H), Norwich (A).
GW8 - If Greenwood is benched more and/or his goals/assists start drying up. Out for someone else.
- Or Chelsea defender in for Shaw (Man Utd difficult run starts here). Maybe Alonso/James.
- Or bench Shaw for this and do Ronaldo > Lukaku

Similar plans then. I'm happy to wait until 9 for Lukaku. Like I've said elsewhere I'm only really willing to gamble that he'll ouscore Ronaldo in 8,9 and 10 (and 28-30 in the reverse fixtures). Just have to make sure to leave that money in the bank as well.

Oh ffs. This is why you don't make early transfers he tells himself for the 1000th time.

If Ayling is out I'm playing Allan or Williams. Eurgh.

Darn it Bamford! Gets through the game he was supposedly a doubt for hamstring wise, then gets a fresh injury elsewhere!

Can squeeze through with 11 as long as TAA is back.

Bamford out. I dont know whether to laugh or cry.
(Sounds like Raphinha touch and go too)

A wildcard a couple of weeks ago into DCL and Antonio.
Antonio gets suspended.
DCL gets injured.
DCL > Bamford.

Is Bamford even gonna be back for next week...

Saint-Maximum time? - Watford, Wolves, Spurs, Palace next.
If I knew Edouard was going to start.
Rodrigo at Leeds.
Adam Armstrong.
Jimenez.
Toney.
Dennis v Newcastle.

Think its time to get rid of all Leeds players for the time being anyway.

The problem with Dennis is he seems to play wide now. Did score last week though, but seems a bit unsure.
King is just 5.5m, 0.3m more than Dennis, plays central and got 2 assists last week.

Watford forward doesn't sound an inspiring phrase though does it.

I'm half eyeing up the Bamford & Antonio out double for a Lukaku and filler combo.
Not this week though, not with Antonio at Leeds.

Yep, exactly the same.

I don't think getting rid is that great an idea either like those nutters who ditched Antonio for one game. If he's back next week then Leeds fixture list is still as good as anyone's bar Chelsea.

It's a shame that Chelsea are playing City as I'd bring forward my hit for one of their defenders. As it is I'll be starting Allan v Norwich by the looks of it where he might actually be allowed to cross the half way line.

I didn’t really expect to say this at any point this season, but I’m actually considering ASM as a short term Bamford replacement. Decent enough fixtures and will most likely be responsible for any attacking returns Newcastle get.

Jiminez just doesn’t look like a smart pick. Wolves scored twice without him last night, he must be at risk of getting dropped. Edouard hasn’t started yet.

Bamford! Feck! Already took a hit to bring Antonio back and fix up my bench for a BB gamble. Argh. I don’t think I’m going to take another hit though. Hopefully my bench players do well and swallow up the hit. Free up cash by downgrading Jota to Sarr or Raph next GW

Yeah the most im prepared to go at Watford is Sarr.

I think I may leave Bamford in too unless theres news that he's out for longer than this weekends match.
Might just do nothing this week, no transfers, carry 1 then 2 or 3 transfers next week for a -4.

Bamford out is fecking annoying. At least with half the Leeds team out, Antonio might get a haul.

Also, don't have much choice but to keep Bamford in. I'm still 95% certain I'm going to do Ronaldo + Shaw out for Lukaku and Rudiger from next week for Chelsea fixture swing.

I've gone from planning Ings to DCL, to Richarlison, to Bamford. I don't think the FPL gods want me to sell Ings. Glad I didn't make the early transfer to avoid the price drop though.

Watch out Rondon, you're next.

Everton look a bit of a mess. Both Richarlison and DCL out?
They have Rondon, but maybe it means more attacking spoils for Gray?
