Yeah.
Do you like turn based combat or do you have any experience with those games/JRPGs? ( Persona 5 for instance). If you're ok with that and not too fussy about modern graphics then i'd recommend FF9 and FF10 as good starters for the series. They're quite old games and they use a turn based combat system but they're highly regarded in the series. Both have great soundtracks too.Just finished this and it was amazing. Probably the best game I've played this generation.
I haven't played the original...not sure if I should or just wait for part 2.
The only other FF ive played is FFXV which was pretty shit. I don't get how the same developer can make something so good and something so bad...
Can anyone recommend something similar to play after 7 Remake? And is the full soundtrack avaliable to buy?
https://novacrystallis.com/2020/07/final-fantasy-vii-remakes-second-part-is-in-full-development/Final Fantasy VII Remake‘s second installment has entered full development, according to a staff interview published by Famitsu this week.
The magazine spoke with several key members on the development team including director Tetsuya Nomura. Here’s what he had to say when asked about the release timing for the next entry in the project:
“We know that everyone wants the next installment quickly. We would also like to deliver it as soon as possible. Since we were also able to see the line of quality from the first installment, we hope to make the next installment even better in quality that can make for an even better experience. We would like to get it out as soon as possible, so please wait for it. I think we can clearly convey the direction when we officially announce the next installmen
The head of the Japanese games group behind the hit Final Fantasy series has warned that Covid-19 has caused “time to stand still” on production of new titles, threatening to undermine an industry boost from global lockdowns.
Yosuke Matsuda, chief executive of Square Enix, told the Financial Times in an interview that while the $145bn sector had benefited from people spending more time at home due to coronavirus lockdowns, social distancing restrictions had hit development pipelines for new games.
“There is also a considerable impact on the production side. It will resonate in the future. What we are selling now may have provided some positive aspects, but on the negative side time has stood still in terms of production. We couldn't develop anything. That is where the impact will come,” said Mr Matsuda, whose company has annual revenues of $2.5bn.

Wishful thinking but that almost certainly won't happen. Old consoles always stop getting support eventually.Great trailer, but I hope the DLC being exclusive to PS5 isn't a sign that the next installments in this FFVII mini series will be on PS5 only. Well that will make sense for the 3rd installment or so which will probably be more than +10 years from now on but for at least the second installment I believe those who played the first one on PS4 deserve to play it on the same console and not be forced to buy a new entire one just to continue the story, in my opinion.
They do, but I think the PS4 will still be active for at least the next year or 2 imo so I hope at least the second game in this mini series will come to PS4. I have no hope for the 3rd game and beyond, but the second one should at least come to PS4.Wishful thinking but that almost certainly won't happen. What would you like to know? Which bit of the story confused you?Enlighten me @esmufc07
Start with the talking lion. Explain that to me because it makes no sense. How can he speak? What would you like to know? Which bit of the story confused you?
Red XIII isn’t a ‘lion’. You’ll learn more about him in the second game. I don’t want to spoil his story.Start with the talking lion. Explain that to me because it makes no sense. How can he speak?
Who is Zack? Who does Cloud like more out of Tifa and Aerith? Why is sephiroth considered the villain? When all his intentions look good, and I rather play as him.

Zack is a Soldier, he looks a lot like Cloud. Use your brain. You’ll learn more about him in the second game, I don’t want to spoil the story.
Cloud’s relationship with Aerith is relatively new, whilst he has known Tifa since a child so I would guess at this point in time he likes Tifa more.
Sephiroth is a villain for good reason. You’ll learn more about him in the second game, I don’t want to spoil the story.
Seriously though I could explain what you asked but it would spoil the second game. Go and play the original, you won’t regret it. If you don’t enjoy it I’ll refund your money. What the feck is this? So I have to play the second game to learn the story. Maybe I don't want to, what then?
No, because like Shenmue, the gameplay will be outdated and doesn't hold up.Seriously though I could explain what you asked but it would spoil the second game. Go and play the original, you won’t regret it. If you don’t enjoy it I’ll refund your money.
Yeah X is the only one I've played fully. Really enjoyed it back in the day, tried to replay it but not being able to skip cutscenes killed it for me.Really enjoying this. Only FF I've played was X back in the day. Story has been fun and gameplay is pretty cool. Not sure about it's status as one of the all time great games though.
On Sunday, Sony held a PlayStation Play! Play! Play! event presented in Japanese, and it included exclusive interviews and footage for Resident Evil Village and FF7 Remake: Intergrade, the PlayStation 5 upgrade for the first Remake. During an interview with Producer Yoshinori Kitase, a bit of nervous laughter seems to imply that Jessie may have survived the explosive events of the first game.

In the above clip, the stream’s hosts discusses Jessie’s increased role in Remake, particularly an early chapter where “Jessie is like the protagonist” and you visit her parents’ home. That prompts one of the hosts to assume Jessie must still be alive, which makes Kitase burst into a fit of nervous laughter. A translation posted to Twitter from user @aitaikimochi sure makes it seem like there’s something more to the story here.
7 seconds.urggh, i wish they would stop pissing around with the story the ending of the 1st one is beyond stupid.
What are you talking about, Ashley?7 seconds.
Go and watch the ending. What are you talking about, Ashley?
Yeah I think their deaths served a purpose in the original - not sure what they’d gain by bringing them back but I’d be surprised if they did.God I hope they don't start bringing back dead characters. It just comes across as ...bad fan fiction
People actually seem to be really up for it though. It makes me think the scene on the tower plate would be absolutely stupid if it doesn't end up mattering at all.Yeah I think their deaths served a purpose in the original - not sure what they’d gain by bringing them back but I’d be surprised if they did.
Luckily there's no continuation thing, so it's just 1 game. I'm playing it myself atm. On chapter 9 now. Haven't played it since the day it came out. Fantastic game. Though I looked up and they changed a bit of the story apparently about the main plot. I've never played the original.Started VII remake today. First impression is positive, but as I haven't played FF since PS1 I'm concerned I will have no idea wtf is going on
