I just came across Dorian Dervitte's page and noticed that the two pics on there are both from a game against Chelsea, depicting a crowd of players, making it difficult to pick him out. I guess he or someone else really wanted to show that he once played against them.

Anywho, what are some of your favourite ones? There's Des Walker staring forlorny into empty space at some restaurant anno 2003.

A poor quality photo of Matt Le Tissier sensually caressing a ball whilst doing some sort of a dull looking raffle/power point presentation

And of course, almost every player who played for Derby around 2006 are permanently cursed with a small profile photo of them in some car park.

They only have the rights to show certain photos. That's why they're always candid photos and not official ones.

The OP might be spot on with the Derby car park theory. Here's Tommy Smith, who was at Derby in 2006.

I always noticed this for United players. For years anyone who played the 50th anniversary game against City, that was their Wikipedia photo.

Not sure if it's the same anymore but when you used to Google Tuanzebe a picture of Fosu-Mensah would show up.

Promising thread indeed.

That said, after a quick browse, I'm sad to report that a few good candidates don't have pics at all.

Unless it's an android/browser issue, that is.

Talking about fairly high profile players too - looked up Lee Sharpe, for instance - no pic. They could've used a still from...whatever it was, some reality show he was in.

Choccy.

Gone for the Keano look with predictable results. Looks deranged and possibly not entirely sober.

The walking towards the coach after a mid-week league cup tie away from home completely unaware that someone is taking your photo look:

Shola Ameobi's seen something terrible, presumably highlights of him playing.

This thread has potential. Always loved the Derby car park photos - wonder what the story is behind those.
