Does he have a plan B?

it's almost like he gave his players free reign to attack, and that caught some teams off guard.. now teams know what to expect and they look a bit average.

They haven't played Spurs and Arsenal so far in the first round of games.

We have played all 6 (including Leicester) of the good-ish sides.

Spurs (A) 22nd December
Arsenal (A) 29th December

Watford at home in between. They could be in big trouble if we get our shit in order.

This was always going to be a transitional season. Can't read too much into the poor form but it's definitely come at the wrong time

They had a very nice run of fixtures (similar to Ole) when he first came in and everyone got over excited (similar to Ole). Be interesting to see how he bounces back.

I hope Lampard won't be a victim of his own success, many people didn't give him a chance before the league began.
Now he that he has exceeded expectations, going back to their normal level seems like a failure.

Let’s wait and see shall we? I still think he’s done a good job so far with a newly composed squad.
Their squad looked a lot better equipped than ours. Their midfield especially with Kante looked far far superior to ours

I did feel that reliance on Tammy wasn’t going to last. They lack experience up front and it’s a shame he’s fallen out with Giroud

Yeah, but I’d say our attack is better, and definitely our defense.

The fact is 4 new players for this season started the game today, and there have been more in several games. They’re still 5 points ahead. He’s done well imo, not exceptional, but well enough.

He keeps getting praise for letting his midfielders get forward but they leave their defence woefully exposed because of it.

That’s what I said to my Chelsea supporting neighbour.

if we combined the two sides you’d have a proper challenging side.

Kante alone in our team would improve us 20%

Doing their best to relegate us (we're doing our bit aswell), Frank clearly still bitter at the play off final.

In last 4 games they've lost to West Ham in hopeless form, Everton in hopeless form and Bournemouth in hopeless form and with 100 injuries. Also in CL only won 1 out of 3 home games.

Add in draws with Sheffield and Leicester and they've won 4 out of 9 at home. In second half of the season will have Manchester clubs, Arsenal, Spurs all visiting. Will struggle to get CL winning only 8-9 at home anyway.

I like Frank Lampard. I hope he manages Chelsea to a honorable 5th place.

He did that with Derby as well I recall. No surprise they didn’t quite get over the line

I thought Pulisic was doing ok (hard to tell from the TV of course) but Frank took him off for Kovacic. Did he fare much better?

Definitely! Actually, just Kanté and one of Jorginho (my choice) or Kovacic in our team might have done the trick.

Exactly. A lot has been said about theat awful Chelsea defence.. Actually Lampard is the one to blame because his tactics makes it even worse.. He is basically AVB version 2 ...

The master v the student next. Jose must be really looking forward to playing Chelsea and he won't hold back on the self praise if Spurs win
