I thought after Ronaldo he was our best player. This is where he excels, not holding but winning the ball and carrying it forward on any counter. Get the right player alongside Fred and he'll do the job for us.
Missed the 1st half but the 2nd was honestly one of the best 45 mins I've seen from a midfielder anywhere this season.
Ronaldo will get all the praise, but Fred was 10/10 today.

We had less of the ball at home and in the first half Spurs had 9 shots, but 2nd half we restricted them to 1.

Brilliant. Especially in the first half, where he was playing more as an 8 with Pogba in front of Matic. Central to pretty much every attack we put together, and the only one applying any kind of pressure defensively.
Possibly benefitted from the absence of Bruno to take a spot a bit further forward.

The best pure CM performance of this season by any player for me. Fred was incredible
One man midfield. Matic looked his age (arguably older) and don’t get me started on Pogba.
MOTM today for me, even with Ronaldo's heroics. Incredible energy, and his passing was sharp, progressive and quick, with none of the untidiness that is sometimes there. Upped the tempo of the game every time he had it. Much better player when just has freedom to go box to box.
Great game today. Now, will Keane give him any credit ? Probably not.

If we continue to play Fred in this position with a DM that actually knows what it's doing then that's how we get the best out of him. He's comfortably a better footballer than McTominay just less physical. You can't play him with McTominay because neither knows how to play 6 properly so they both have to worry about whats behind them

Immense. He was everywhere - I’d love to see his stats in the game for interceptions and tackles. Not only that, but his passing was good too.

Never been a fan of his but credit to him, had a good game. Although past it, helped by Matic filling in the defensive positions, one reason McFred has never worked, neither of them can read the game defensively, we definately dont need both of them
Holy hell Fred! He is my favourite player in United and have had some great games over the time, but that was next level. Took players on and created heaps of changes for others.
