No shit, it’s 8 weeks for 20 million euros manHe seems more concerned about using that time to play hardball than moving on to a new club and getting ready for the upcoming season...

No, the reason I ignored it, is because your whole point is splitting hairs based on the fact that the FDJ deal can still happen, when its looking extremely likely that it wont. Why have you ignored the point I made where everything you said was completely false? There's literally no proof to anything you said.
Rather that than be a bootlicker. You forgot to add 'embarrassing' to your self-loathing rant.
Not to mention a RB since AWB seems to be a ghost wearing an United shirt.Yeah two midfielders was probably in the clubs thinking until that Ronaldo stuff first broke
I hope and think that Frenkie realises this and its all about getting what he is owed.Or... you could come here, be paid 400k a week, loved by fans as our first proper too class midfielder - bar Bruno - in years, experience the city that Pep doesn't want to move from, help rebuild us into challengers again - properly this time - under a manager who knows how to get the best out of you and will build his team around you. We also happen to pay our players and provide them with lucrative bonuses.
If you need some weeks in the sun, we have been known to fly players down to Dubai in a private jet at the club's expense.
Or you know... you could get paid 120k, be a centreback for Xavi and be blamed for Barca underperforming.
The way they are running the club its bound to happen! This is some next level cringe. Frenkie will thank his lucky stars when he’s out of that shitshow. Ideal situation: we get Frenkie near the end of the window then the feckers go into administration anyway.
Its basicly a circus! Frenkie cannot possibly forgive this behavior. One of the worst fanbases in the world.
Either way Laporta will come out as a winner. If he stays, he would be on lower salary and if he moves, the fans will see it as FDJ wanting money over Xavi.
Would it surprise anyone if Barca are offering to pay it over 25 years?Yup that's the thing with this whole transfer, we really have no idea what's going on. What's truth, what's lies, what's just pure absolute shite (Well we know that's whatever Sport prints). It's just absolute speculation for the most parts
Because barca seem to love screwing with the chelsea this summerHow can you be in pole position if you've made no bid and showed no further interest. Why are Barca so intent on this Chelsea info being out there
I agree with what is being said in the below clip, and think the deal will be done.It sounds like things are moving now and Barca are at the negotiating table to decide the payout.
Still fully expect this to happen.

Or you know, Chelsea doesn’t want to bail out Barcelona considering they had 2 of their targets stolen despite reaching an agreement with the other club. The fact that Tuchel is admitting they’ve been approached to buy De Jong, but he refuses to meet the 67 million fee they quoted seems like pretty big information.
Is that really what you guys have already offered?
Man, I know you guys want him, but part of me hopes he successfully refuses to leave, and Lewa, Kounde and the others are told not to worry, they can be part of the official Barca fan community til they can be registered next year. Oh, and their wages will be “deferred”. No problem, you can trust them.
It's not splitting hairs, it's fact. You said:No, the reason I ignored it, is because your whole point is splitting hairs based on the fact that the FDJ deal can still happen, when its looking extremely likely that it wont.
How is that HIS problem? It’s not. It’s the clubs problem. Maybe they should have thought of how the feck are we going to meet our salary cap before going buck mental in the transfer market? They are trying to get the stable to fit after buying a bunch of new horses. Terrible forward planning.Of course he can stand his ground and remain on his current contract. It obviously won't be a pleasant environment for him to be in if he's going into the new season where he's basically stopped Barca registering all their new signings. I'm sure the club management and some players won't be happy with it.
Or he could choose to take a pay cut and remain on good terms with the club and have a higher chance of getting minutes than being a perceived rebel and standing his ground. It all comes down to what circumstances he chooses to work in. But my original point still stands in that I don't believe it's Barca refusing to pay him which is causing the reluctance to move.
Best word describing Barcelona is - Entitled. How is that HIS problem? It’s not. It’s the clubs problem. Maybe they should have thought of how the feck are we going to meet our salary cap before going buck mental in the transfer market? Again how is this the players fault? They agree a contract with him and then a new one just last season to help them out, which he gladly did. Where does that stop? When they need more new players next window will they ask for more wage cuts again? Oh look frenkie is at fault he won’t reduce his salary enough.
It’s World Cup year, he won’t be happy sitting on the bench taking less money for the 2nd time. They can’t even keep the word of the contracts they just made.
pay the lad what’s owed and let him leave. That’s how it’s resolved. Not by bullying.
Could be huge, offered by Barca or by agent? The fact that Tuchel is admitting they’ve been approached to buy De Jong, but he refuses to meet the 67 million fee they quoted seems like pretty big information.
If that's the truth then ETH should be fuming. After all both Ole and Mourinho had a bigger transfer budget in their first year then he did. Now let's tackle your pointsI'm setting aside the Glazers. We can all agree that they could and should spend more. For the purpose of our discussion, let us accept that we have 120mil + sales.
A - I think the club counted on Ronaldo for the next season with plans for Martial to be sold and the money reinvested. Martial then impressed and showed willingness and we probably decided that we will try with them as our main strikers and strengthen other areas. Now Ronaldo wants to leave and we can't really make any money by selling him and no club is actually interested. A not unsettled Ronaldo was already a big unknown in terms of fitting in our system and actually fulfilling his tactical duties. Now the manbaby is actively trying to leave and his legendary "professionalism" is the only thing that gives us a glimmer of hope that he will try to perform.
B - Ronaldo is probably 100% starting for Portugal even if benched for 3 months. We can't afford to make him play with the youths because of his hefty wage. It is somewhat of a financial suicide. The situation needs to be resolved and quickly. I think it would be for the best if he bought out his contract. It will be easier for him to find a club that way and we will have some cash to reinvest.
If we sign FdJ, the well will be essentially dry. We still badly need a RW and a RB even before taking the striker situation under consideration.

Oh no, that's actually kind of clever. Makes up some amount of those deferred wages (because he gets paid the 20M+ this year, so one year's worth of deferred wages are being paid) and Chelsea do want him next season.Tweet

You mean this, right?Frenkie will leave and come to us,he just wants to getonly if he gets paid what he is owed!!!
Where did Tuchel say that? The fact that Tuchel is admitting they’ve been approached to buy De Jong, but he refuses to meet the 67 million fee they quoted seems like pretty big information.

I said this a month ago or so! I think this makes very much sense (if FdJ is reluctant to commit his future to Utd).Saw this in the rag press, but thought it made sense.
Utd loan De Jong for 12 months with option to buy.
Barca clearly want rid, gets him off their wage book and gives De Jong a year to see how it goes at Utd, do we make Champions League etc. he will want to be playing regular football in a World Cup year so no point staying where he wont be playing in his best position
SPORT are just trolling United fans at this point
Sport are so boring.
I think you guys are laughing too soon. Chelsea specifically do want him next year when Jorginho's contract ends. There is absolutely zero chance Chelsea risk losing another potential target - that's after the fact they don't need him. They will not be interested in Frenkie and Bayern are not going to spend that money/pay him as much as he is on.
I just don’t really get why they’d need/want him. It’s always nice to have good players but surely they want another CB (hence the Fofana links) and a ST? Also I’m assuming Gallagher might now get game time if they don’t loan him out. There is absolutely zero chance Chelsea risk losing another potential target - that's after the fact they don't need him. They will not be interested in Frenkie and Bayern are not going to spend that money/pay him as much as he is on.
It's because it's bullshit. We've agreed a 70m+ fee, but now they just want to loan him out? If a loan was an option it would make perfect sense to come to us - he gets the most game time in a WC year and can go back to his beloved Barcelona on his fat wedge. It's just sport nonsense.I think you guys are laughing too soon. Chelsea specifically do want him next year when Jorginho's contract ends.
By structuring it as a loan, Barca will get Chelsea to pay one year of FdJ's inflated contract (deferred wages). He will give up on the other year's worth of deferred wages I presume. So it's meeting in the middle between the club / player.
If this is an option though I don't understand why we won't be in for it unless the rumors were true and FdJ doesn't want to go to a club that's not in the CL.
None of the Chelsea reliable journalists have gone anywhere near this storyI think you guys are laughing too soon. Chelsea specifically do want him next year when Jorginho's contract ends.
