Disappointing performance today but really we're all just happy to be in France and we've to pinch ourselves that we're playing at a major tournament in our lifetime. Yes it wasn't a great watch and yes it was negative but when you've a pool of players as tiny as ours where many are playing championship/league one its all about scrapping for draws or nicking 1-0's.

Heading to Lyon for the game on Thursday. Cannot wait.
Well said lad. Have fun over there and keep safe

It was a shame Steve Davis didn't get on the end of that clever free kick routine, had a clear opening and could have snatched an unexpected point
Indeed. Don't think NI came close to deserving a point, but still had the chance to steal a point. Mclaughlin was through late on too, as was Washington, though neither chance was as good as Davis'.

That Polish team has a lot of talent, Lewandowski, Krychowiak, Błaszczykowski and Milik, who think could have a standout tournament. I also thought Kapustka looked a promising young talent, first time I've seen him.

It was a disappointing performance and we really didn't perform the way we did in the qualifiers. I think the occasion got to some of the players. Thankfully we have another shot at it vs Ukraine in a game we simply have to win so we will go for it.

God that was horrible, disappointed in Michael O'Neill. Should have gone for it really and ffs find a better striker than that spoofer Lafferty.
'find' a better striker? Please do tell where you expect us to find a better striker? Under the sofa perhaps? Lafferty scored 7 goals in qualifying - who do you think could have done better for us?

So proud of our performance last night, the boys give it their all and win or lose I feel so lucky to see us in a major tournament against the likes of Lewandowski, Müller and Neuer. Incredible stuff.

Our style might not be brilliant, but we've managed to beat Spain, England, Russia, Sweden and Poland over the last decade or so and qualified for our first tourney since 1986 - great going I'd say!

Shoutout to our fans out there - All I could hear throughout the game was our chants and songs, even straight after they'd scored all I heard was chants of Green and White Army. Also great to see the comradery and friendship between our fans and the Polish fans considering what else has been happening during this Euros.

So excited for the Ukraine game now, would love to see Washington start for a bit more pace on the break!

Im not on the troll tyvm. Theres surely someone better than Lafferty somewhere.

RIP Darren Rodgers
We have Will Grigg who's been in great form for Wigan but Lafferty always raises his game in a green shirt - his goals are the reason we are here. Would hate to see him dropped, he's given his all to get us here. Sometimes it's not purely down to talent, Kyle runs his bollocks off every game and pops up with crucial goals (7 in qualifying) - you can't ask for more than that.

Does he even play much league football?

Well lets hope they support him more vs Ukraine. I did say O'Neill should have gone for it more.

no but experience has proven its not the end of the matter. Lafferty was our top scorer in the campaign.
David Healy once broke European records for NI but couldn't get a game at league level
go figure!

We need to go back to 2 up top and hopefully 4 at the back. Lafferty was so isolated until Washington came on. We need to keep the ball better and knock it about a bit instead of lumping it forward. We seemed a bit star struck yesterday so hopefully come Ukraine we will be a bit more settled. GAWA.

RIP Darren
