While I'm not overly enamoured with this shout, I do think it's one worth considering in the short term. So...
Would anyone take a cheeky Cahill bid of sub £15m in order to alleviate our LB problem?
Main Pros
He's unlikely to be excessively cheap and would need to be playing now regularly in the short term.
Blind to lb is good for the short term but reverts him back to versatility man status in the long term (spoiler alert - I like Daley).
Cahill's injury record is better than most of our CB's.
He's droppable - ie not a guaranteed starter every game.
Has ball playing skills to a better degree than Phil Jones.
He's also not a world beater or a great improvement on current players.
It consigns Rojo to full time LB when fit.
He's a Jose minion.

Main Pros
- Blind to LB. Senior player in that spot.
- English quota CB with proven fitness record (certainly vs Jones).
- Proven PL title experience.
- Has played well alongside Smalling for England.
- He's probably not a starter when all fit.
