Well said. You should save the words "disgrace" and "unprofessional" for the United players. Neville gives a shit about the club, which is more than can be said for the wasters on the pitch

What do you want him to say? There's not much to talk about, it's a bit of a nothing game and it's more we're making Chelsea look good rather than them being good.I think everyone knows that.
However, he’s supposed to be commentating on the game. At this point you’d be as well listen to the boys down the pub. He shouldn’t be on United games.
He is commenting on the game, and the attitude is disgraceful. That's what's on display so that's what he'll comment on.I think everyone knows that.

At least he's not saying it's down to Rangnick. Now that would be unprofessional. He’s a co-commentator and he’s spent 35 minutes whining about everything. It’s horrendous to listen to. Wasn’t much of this under Ole either.
You mean just like everyone on this forumIt’s the snide jokes about MU, between Neville and Tyler, that gets my goat with both of them. At least try to be respectful.
I’d bet my mortgage he wasn’t.Must’ve been devastated about the equaliser.
Aye. The die hard united fan was devastated we equalisedMust’ve been devastated about the equaliser.
Aye, you’re probably right, but they wouldn’t make those comments about any other team in the league. And I get that we’re crap and should be doing much better, but I’m fed-up listening to it from a broadcaster that should at least be attempting to be balanced in their comments. You mean just like everyone on this forum
Ummm...what?Think some of you Neville knockers need to remember what he did for us on the pitch which is the most important thing. He’s a living legend for us and deserves more credit. Granted some of his policies off the pitch can be questioned but personally, could listen to him all day, one of the best pundits by a mile.
Since we’ve had diversity come in the game some of these new pundits/commentators are absolutely sh!te
He's got a point though. Do you really think Martin Keown would have a job on TV if someone didn't have to fill their quota of Cro Magnon employees?Ummm...what?
A white former footballer who thinks from his arse is exactly what diversity reduces. He's got a point though. Do you really think Martin Keown would have a job on TV if someone didn't have to fill their quota of Cro Magnon employees?

That’s exactly it. Tip-toeing around the bleeding obvious for so long he now seems to need to prove something by absolutely slaughtering a performance no more shit than literally dozens of matches he’s covered over the last few years, with barely a word of criticism. Proof that he’s well suited for the career in politics he seems to crave. It's like he's only just realising how shite we are
This, basically.Whinged more in 45 mins than he did in entirety of Ole's tenure while on commentary.
I found it all pretty disgraceful to be honest. There are 14 teams shitter than us in the league - the moral outrage culture at United being a bit crap got boring a long time ago. As Ronay says It’s now it’s own industry - who can create the greatest fecking soundbite. It’s the snide jokes about MU, between Neville and Tyler, that gets my goat with both of them. At least try to be respectful.
That’s probably the single most mystifying fact about this league campaign. I do think we have objectively looked as bad as most of the bottom half teams throughout most this season. The difference being we have that little bit of stardust that can turn a game round.I found it all pretty disgraceful to be honest. I think this is just grass is greener syndrome. If you watched the other teams every week and judged them on the standards of our past you’d think they were utter dog shite too. It’s all relative. We’ve fallen off a cliff since atletico but even then we were clearly better than an Arsenal team likely to finish 4th. The reality is about 10 players in this squad have their futures up in the air and are being managed by someone leaving soon who keeps saying in public they all need replacing - add in the zero confidence, players getting abused every day in the media/online and general fan discontent at the games anyone expecting any sort of performance is setting themselves up for disappointment. Who the feck wants to play in these circumstances? We tick every box of how not to get results currently. The entire club has checked out until next year and but for West Ham being distracted by the Europa league and wolves being shite I’d be certain we’d end up finishing 8th.That’s probably the single most mystifying fact about this league campaign. Plus our recent run has surely been as bad as any team in the league? We’ve only won twice in our last 10 league matches and each win needed a Ronaldo hat-trick to get the points. Most of those games against very poor teams too. Throw in the humiliations against City/Liverpool and the sixth place position looks very flattering.
Having said all that, the hysterics from Nev last night were tiresome as feck. Especially when you consider the double standards compared to his punditry during performances that were equally shit in the past.
this ^^^Whinged more in 45 mins than he did in entirety of Ole's tenure while on commentary.
His friend is not there anymore so he can actually say something about the team. Although he should have been saying it when Ole was in charge.Whinged more in 45 mins than he did in entirety of Ole's tenure while on commentary.
Meaning?Ummm...what?
Spot on.Christ some of you are a sensitive bunch. His commentary was a throughly accurate representation of the game.
There’s nothing wrong with diversity, seems very strange to blame that for declining levels of punditry.Meaning?
It wasn’t though. He wouldn’t have commented like that in any other fixture with the exact same balance of play. We all know he finds it hard to be balanced about United because he’s a fan. He’s aware of this and usually responds by over-compensating and taking a stance on, for example, dodgy refereeing decisions that would be the exact opposite to a United fan. That grates but you can understand it as an effort to be professional.Christ some of you are a sensitive bunch. His commentary was a throughly accurate representation of the game.
Yeah this is my issue with him too. He does talk sense at times but everything is so agenda driven with him it’s impossible to see him as credible. The problem with Neville is his double standards. He protected Moyes and Ole as much as he could, while he attacked LvG, Mourinho, and now RR as much as he can (and will do the same with EtH). Incredibly unprofessional.
Yep, maybe opposition fans get enjoyment from this though.Honestly if I was a Chelsea fan; or any other fan watching, I'd mute him.
Every game becomes "Gary Neville on Man United". Commentate on the game ffs.
I totally agree with you. nothing wrong with diversity. However, standards have dropped dramatically. Shouldn't be about the colour of your skin, be it black-blue-white-yellow-green or whatever. Some of the new pundits are totally clueless and make you cringe just listening to them. There’s nothing wrong with diversity, seems very strange to blame that for declining levels of punditry.
Has he ?The problem with Neville is his double standards. He protected Moyes and Ole as much as he could, while he attacked LvG, Mourinho, and now RR as much as he can (and will do the same with EtH). Incredibly unprofessional.
