Ronaldo Keane Cantona Giggs

Wonder who's the fifth? Whoever it is he's not deserving imo. Maybe G. Neville?

As far as I remember without looking in my inbox, my list was Irwin, Ferdinand, Beckham, Van Nistelrooy, Keane, Scholes, Giggs, Cantona, Ronaldo, Schmeichel (the lack of Robson came from my interpretation of the question at the time, where I took the 'Golden Era of Fergie' to mean the time from which we started regularly winning things, as opposed to his arrival).

It'll probably be Rooney or Ruud. Which is more to do with the fact that their more fresh in peoples memories.

of course it does...I don't not rate him, I think he's a Legend... I just don't think he's the greatest player ever to play for United under Fergie
Me neither. I think I placed him third on my list, even though he's probably not in the top 3 most talented. The word 'greatest' doesn't just mean most talented, to me. It about having the talent and what you do with it - whether it be making a huge impact over a short space of time (Eric and Ronaldo), or making slightly less of an impact, but over a long period of time (Giggs and Scholes).

Can you imagine the controversy that would ensue if Ronaldo is at number 1? :D

I guess that means Scholesy is at number 5 then?

Sounds about right. I certainly think Ronaldo should be higher than 6, though - probably at two or three, or even one.

Damn I liked it better when Scholes was above Ronaldo.

Europa.
Alright everything should be fine now, Scholes was voted 6th but when I wanted to enter Ronaldo I hit the wrong edit button so I wrote over the Scholes entry

:D...it's certainly the most apt, regardless of djemba djemba

I think 5 is a better position for Ronnie than 6...he should at least be in the top 5. It's a straight fight between Cantona & Giggs now I think

to be fair, whoever it is isn't the 4th greatest player ever to play under Fergie...no matter how much I love & respect all those players
