Its obvious he wants to win things, he thought we were not good enough therefore was unhappy. Now as soon as it looks like we might, he starts trying way harder.I don't understand how he seems to love United, and be happy playing then Raiola comes out with the opposite, strange situation.
Hopefully United get some good momentum and keep winning.
Well it's in Raiola's best interest for his top clients to move clubs because he makes more money out of it.... and it doesn't get anymore top then Pogba.I don't understand how he seems to love United, and be happy playing then Raiola comes out with the opposite, strange situation.

Sounds like a Michael Owen quote. If we win every game left of the season, I’m sure we will win.
good to see some positivity!
I love his quotes! He’s my inspiration.Sounds like a Michael Owen quote.
I think he doesnt want the fans to hate him and by spouting good things they will think its all bad old Raiola. The thing is Pogba could clear up with a simple statement that hes not looking to leave. The fact he hasnt speaks volumes. On the other hand if no one offers him the money he wants and Raiolas fee, then I can see the board shitting themselves and offering a massive contract that he will take and then turn into the inconsistant player he usually is.I don't understand how he seems to love United, and be happy playing then Raiola comes out with the opposite, strange situation.

Agents also get commission when negotiating contract extensions and I'm sure Woodward would do well to line up Raiola's pockets, so it could just mean a kick up the arse of the management to start those talks. The way he's been doing interviews lately and trying to show some leadership for once makes me think he's angling towards extending, not least because no one has the money to acquire him and then pay the salary he is on as even Madrid is talking about salary cuts.Well it's in Raiola's best interest for his top clients to move clubs because he makes more money out of it.... and it doesn't get anymore top then Pogba.
They do, they just get a hell of a lot more money from transfers (as they get a percentage of the transfer fee as opposed to the signing on fee - unless I'm mistaken?)Agents also get commission when negotiating contract extensions and I'm sure Woodward would do well to line up Raiola's pockets, so it could just mean a kick up the arse of the management to start those talks. I don't think they get a percentage of transfer fee, its more or less a rider on top of the fee with one side paying for it, usually the buyer. However agents also get a percentage share of the player's salary they negotiate, usually between 5-10% so if Raiola moves Pogba to Madrid and he is then asked to take a covid pay cut, going from 350k/week to 200k/week, Mino's weekly income goes down by anywhere between 7500 - 15000 per week. They do, they just get a hell of a lot more money from transfers (as they get a percentage of the transfer fee as opposed to the signing on fee - unless I'm mistaken?)
There's a similar thing happening with another of Raiola's clients: Donnarumma. Hasn't signed a contract extension, is pretty much a cert to leave (probably for Chelsea) and the player himself has been quiet, but Zlatan (yet another client) came out today/recently saying he's shocked Donnarumma has never played a Champions League game as he is the best goalkeeper in the world. Setting things up for Donnarumma leaving without the player looking a villain.I think he doesnt want the fans to hate him and by spouting good things they will think its all bad old Raiola. Yes its all a game. Get the agent to slag the team off, player starts playing consistantly good for the first time. Player then praises the club, but doesnt contradict the agent. Deflects with the fans. Fallback option if desired club/clubs dont come in, sign a more lucrative contract as he has shown he can perform regular. There's a similar thing happening with another of Raiola's clients: Donnarumma. Does the fact that he had a serious ankle problem that required an operation come into this? There is a good chance he wasn't fully fit for any of last season. It's all very simple: Raiola isn't gonna say a bunch of bullshit against Pogba's will.
Whether the current good form is coincidental, a way to "market himself", or even a change of mind, is hard to tell.
I do think previous behavior has proven that Pogba has an attitude problem. So even if he's had a change of mind, I still think he should be sold. I feel that it's too late for him to redeem himself now. The way I see it, if he's had a change of mind, it can only be because of 2 reasons:
1. He believes in the team/coach now.
2. He realizes that his best days are over and wants a last paycheck.
If number 1: what happens when we hit a rough patch? Is it the same shit all over again? If number 2: most definitely get rid!
The only person in football that seems to think he has an attitude problem was Jose. Every other one of his managers and teammates seems to only have positive things to say. It's all very simple: Raiola isn't gonna say a bunch of bullshit against Pogba's will.

What the feck are you going on aboutWell that’s guaranteed a loss at Liverpool and finishing third, thanks Paul.
As if Liverpool need any more motivation.

Bold bit is bullshit. It's all very simple: Raiola isn't gonna say a bunch of bullshit against Pogba's will.

His brother and agent antics are infuriating. The only person in football that seems to think he has an attitude problem was Jose. Every other one of his managers and teammates seems to only have positive things to say.
I think he knows he's moving into his prime years and wants to win trophies. If it's not likely here, he'll move. Whether it's now worth putting up with this is another issue, but I think this is much more similar to Rooney's transfer request.
This is all mainly speculation/PR, though. The only person in football that seems to think he has an attitude problem was Jose. Every other one of his managers and teammates seems to only have positive things to say.
Do you really think Raiola would make those statements at random or purely for his own agenda? I'll never buy into that. He represents the player and will always try to act in their best interest. He's a cnut, but he's good at what he does. There's a reason for why he represents so many good players.Bold bit is bullshit.
I misread apologies. Initially I read your opening sentence as "Raiola will say bullshit against Pogba's will"Do you really think Raiola would make those statements at random or purely for his own agenda? Paul was on the bench and played as a DM when he came on.Well it's in Raiola's best interest for his top clients to move clubs because he makes more money out of it.... and it doesn't get anymore top then Pogba.
Or Pogba may have been unhappy at some point when he didn't feel like he was first choice.
You don't think his bad attitude has ever been evident on the pitch? Even under Ole he's had games where he's looked like he couldn't be arsed. The only person in football that seems to think he has an attitude problem was Jose. Or fans need to realize that football is ultimately a business and this football business involves three parties with some common objectives and some opposing ones. It's all very simple: Raiola isn't gonna say a bunch of bullshit against Pogba's will.

Have you just made this up? Pogba hates when others get attention?? When in his career has he ever showed this? He gracefully accepted palyign a supporting role to Bruno with not a single complaint and quite the opposite, even Bruno has spoken of how supportive Pogba has been towards him.You don't think his bad attitude has ever been evident on the pitch? Even under Ole he's had games where he's looked like he couldn't be arsed.
He moaned and we've moved him into a role where he gets more freedom and yeah he's looked the better player for it. I still don't think we should accept a player only giving it his all when he feels like it though.
He's a fair weather player that likes attention and hates when others get it. Hopefully he carries on his good performances and then leaves us in the summer.
What? I specifically remember Jose saying pretty much the same thing as Ole: Pogba is always professional and tries his best in training. Yet they both weren't playing him when they came out with those statements. The only person in football that seems to think he has an attitude problem was Jose. Every other one of his managers and teammates seems to only have positive things to say.
