he has a lot of football to him but he just cant ever seem to find a manager who will play him consistently. He's a fans player and managers cant stand him apparently.

This. His goal scoring record isn't anything to brag about in Scotland and doesn't show up except for the odd wonderful goal. Wouldn't cut it in the PL at all. It's easy to look good against the Islands.

Plus, he's getting on in age - he won't get any better than where he is now.
