Why did Samba leave you again, contract dispute? Odd timing given he was a big part of the promotion squad.

Interesting. Quite strategic from Scotland to drop into pot 3 as Danes aside the rest are very beatable (although got a feeling Hungary might go on a good run in this tournament).

Pot 4 is actually shaping up to be very tricky. Serbia if they can be bothered will be dangerous floater team with their talent in final third and Swiss consistently get out of groups. Add in Ukraine and they'll be some decent groups.

France, Denmark, Netherlands, Italy would be incredible set of matches.

England will probably get Romania, Slovenia and Georgia/Greece...

Gary Bloom still around from the wonderful football Italia days although think he's actually a sports psychologist now.

No love on here for Steve Bower then....
Yeah, Gary Bloom that was the other guy I couldn't remember.

Genuinely didn't think football coverage could get worse than Channel 5. But Channel 4 have somehow managed it.

Not enough teams, should expand to 32

That should give the Turkeys something to look forward to after Christmas.

It's utterly baffling that we have two full backs who play for the team currently 4th in the league and comfortably 2nd in their UCL group (Raum and Henrichs), and yet Nagelsmann is playing Havertz and Sane as the wing backs in a 3 at the back formation.

On paper this team is more than decent, but the coaches are just making some baffling decisions changing the formation and squad every game.

The likes of Luxembourg, Kazakhstan and Georgia in the playoffs.

With extra spots going to those who were worst. :wenger: . If FIFA can do it, Uefa can too.
Wouldn't be surprised to see it. Tbf, looking at it from the fans point of view it is great that people of smaller countries will have a chance to see their team on a big stage. If you forget it is all about money (and not bother so much about quality), it's actually awesome.

Germany is a great footballing country as well (and not a fan when there are multiple hosts), so bring it on.

Horrible scenes at the Maracana right now. There could legitimately be a crush and several deaths if things don't get under control soon.

It’s always the same with Brazil and their police who love hitting the away fans as much as they can. I’m sick of them. Their police is the worst in South America by far, and with argentines it’s something beyond words. M
Their organization is a shame. They can’t even hold a taylor swift concert.

great decision by Messi leaving the field saying they won’t start under these conditions

Argentina players walked off the pitch. The police action seemed an over the top response for sure.
