Playing on the right and looking good, I wonder if we might still be interested?

No point, Inter won't sell, atleast not at market value.

Can see why Jose wanted him. Works hard all the game even when he isn't in possession and has a tireless engine.

He's doesn't bring enough quality for the money they want.

He'd bring balance though and that alone could be worth the money, even if 9 times out of 10 his cross is cut out just having that constant threat down the right will give opposition something to think about. Opposition left backs have the day off when they play us

Run his blood to water it’s no wonder Mourinho wanted him.

He is mourinhos perfect attacker.

He'd be a solid player to have in the squad, I just don't think he'd be worth spending big money on.

This site changes its mind so often it's mind boggling

Nah, posters just constantly give opinions on players they don't watch play, based on stats, age, videogames, etc. Every now and again they will actually see them play and you get threads like this.

Inter won't sell him at a price that makes sense for us.

That's why there's very little point in having player performance discussions. Too many people are fickle and rate players on their last game.

Spot on, some of the opinions on him last summer were way, way off the mark.

Perisic and his work rate is great for any team and a Mourinho wet dream but you'd have to feel confident we are probably getting the equally effective Willian as there's almost no way Chelsea are going to say no to 60 million for a 30 year old Brazilian Ji Sung Park. We'll still get 4 great years out of Willian so hopefully turns out to be worth it. Bale would be insane but much less likely than Willian.

Go home.

Would have been a great signing for us. Direct, works very hard and can put a ball in the box, but of course, the caf knew better than Mourinho. The state of THAT thread...

Him and Willian basically do the jobs that modern fullbacks should be providing for our team.

This. Would have been a very good signing as would Willian if we s sign him

He's decent but he's not been great in either of Croatia's matches. We need to go for top class players for our wide positions, we have enough players that are of similar ilk to Perisic. Woud've been a good option to have last season, but signing him now means we won't sign anyone else and that's not a good thing for us.

Blimey, Jose was right about that one.

Still remember the outrage over Pep signing Bernardo and Jose chasing Perisic.

Bernardo last season in EPL: 5 goals 6 assists

Perisic last season in Serie A: 11 goals 11 assists

Bernardo for Portugal: 2 goals 6 assists in 27 games

Perisic for Croatia: 18 goals 16 assists in 68 games

Maybe Jose is also right about Arnautovic? Looked quality against Germany a few weeks ago. Don‘t think he is good enough for any title winning side though

Worth remembering that Perisic is in his prime, Silva is still 23 with his best years ahead of him, Silva's technical ability is excellent he just may have moved to City at the wrong time, I'd wait and see how Silva gets on in the next few years before writing him off.

He’s a great crosser and runner. You can see why Jose wanted him.

Now I see why Jose wanted him. He's quite good! Love this Croatian team.

Wanted him last Summer. I want him this Summer, but I know the ship has sailed though. Would be a shame. He's exactly what Mourinho looks for in an attacker, and he's productive as feck at the same time.

Always said he would have become an instant fan favorite here. United fans have been evaluating players in the market based on their names only post SAF.

Too late though. Inter won't sell him.

Why? It was only a year ago we're interested in. Is he only useful for a year or so?
His price should go up with the market rate. Also Inter is in better position with Perisic extended the contract. Also having CL to offer their players prevents any clause in contract letting player leave for cheaper if the club doesn't play in Europe, or simply doesn't paint the club in bad light prevent players to further their career at club with a European football. Perisic now has less years left in his career so the potential high fee, it is worth deal now than last season.

Why would his price go up? Only us would be interested on spending 50-60m on a 30 y.o. Perisic. Mostly due to our manager preference.

Player price has gone up since last summer. Coutinho was not 100mil player last summer, but was transferred for 150mil in winter window. Inter doesn't need to sell, just like nobody else chased Higuain yet he went from Napoli to a Juventus for almost Pogba fee.

As other poster said, the ship has sailed.

He's always delivered for his nation but at club level he is a very streaky player. Would not be worth the money Inter would want and now we have Sanchez the ship has probably sailed.

I wanted him last summer but that ship has sailed, truth be told I think he would have given the team a better balance than Sanchez.
