When are BVB finishing their tour? We could really see movement soon when they return to Germany and with our season ended now. Ed has to secure this deal now, if he really cares
Don't tell me what to do!Stop thinking our aim is to challenge for the title this season. Ain’t happening!
Yeah, I know, options mate.I mean, they aren't even close in terms of quality.
I could live with that provided it's a pacy CB followed by ideally Grealish but more likely VDB. Yes I know we need a LB and DM too but don't see that until next summer.Considering we completed the Pogba and Maguire deal a week before the season started (or transfer window closed?). I'm not too fussed yet.
This is a huge deal that will take time. We might even complete and announce other signings before the Sancho one is completed.
I still think we need 4 top level players to have any chance of competing for the title. They would need to come into the first eleven and therefore bench the ones that drop out in order to give us strength in depth which would allow us to challenge for the title. Not sure if it's quite as severe as needing to add 4 world class players to the starting XI, but like you said, expectations need to be realistic.
I'd be expecting us to/happy with consolidating our top 4 position - closing the points gap to City and Pool in the process - plus turning one of our semi-final exits into a trophy.
Sancho plus a couple of squad additions should be enough to achieve this, although I'm wary of how our rivals are building this summer. We need to be doing the same.
Ask Uncle Bob as he knows it all.Have no idea why we bring Barca into this even as a comparison of spending.
We are on a journey to Arsenal standard mediocrity if we don’t bring in players who can be pivotal in moving forward. We have one in Bruno but we need another plus 2 more talented players in key positions
Sanchez was an expensive disaster for us too - he didn't fit into our squad. Not a great comparison given both signings have been expensive disasters for Barcelona. And what trophies have they won this season?
1) Griezmann and Dembele both didn't fit into the Barca squad too but it would not mean that if they were transferred to another team they would not be the stars they were before.Yeah and they both flopped. Barca is a complete and utter mess right now. They only thing keeping them relevant is Messi.
Liverpool on the other hand only spent big on VVD, because there was no other player who fit their profile and was cheaper. It's not the money you spend. It's how you spend it.
Everyone's welcome to draw up their own conclusions on this. When are BVB finishing their tour? We could really see movement soon when they return to Germany and with our season ended now. Ed has to secure this deal now, if he really cares
It is finished. Respect for still having hope, despite all the facts. And btw if Woodward had cared, he would have hired a DoF long ago, so that there would be a clear vision and path what this clubs needs, and this long before its getting urgent. So that maybe you would have had a chance on Bellingham and all the others you missed, and if you missed them, which always can happen, that there is a plan b and a plan c. Woodward don't care. As long as in his mind this club makes money, he doesn't care at all. All your energy as fans should go into changing the structure of the club. When are BVB finishing their tour? What sort of half garbage are you spouting? You don't know all or any of that. As for Sancho, we'll check back after October 5th, or anytime when the deal is done. Fair enough that you think it isn't going to happen, but i do. We'll see. Your club needs the moneyIt is finished. Respect for still having hope, despite all the facts. Let’s not get too excited. Watzke saying they have plenty of cash. You love to see it.
I don't believe a word that comes out of that blokes mouth.Let’s not get too excited. Watzke saying they have plenty of cash.
The benefit of not having a massive load of debt against their club. Despite our club being a cash cow for generating commercial revenue, we’re struggling to get any signings and are facing low cash reserves. The Glazers and shareholders have to get paid.Let’s not get too excited. Watzke saying they have plenty of cash.
True, they are bullshitters.I don't believe a word that comes out of that blokes mouth.
I fear for you that my club doesn't need the money, we need a Sancho, and we ve got one. You club needs a DoF, thats for sure. What sort of half garbage are you spouting? Yes. What sports industry can withstand that type of loss? It’s utter nonsenseThey can't withstand a deficit of 49,7 million euros for a long time. They lost that in what. Half a season?
Posturing again. They also said that they lose 4 million euro for every home game and they certainly don't have the commercial deals to back it up in the long term.Let’s not get too excited. Watzke saying they have plenty of cash.
Nothing is finished. This is the nature of business. I don't think we need a DoF tbh. I think Oles trying to emulate Sir Alex in that regard. So we will also be looking internally. Williams, Greenwood with others on the fringes. But United are much better then they have been over the last few seasons. We need to get a bit more out of Pogba and solve our width issues. At the end of the day, United aren't backed by oil but I think Ole bridges the gap by using youth and their is the loans market to consider. I think we'd have got your striker if that agent hadn't have been involved but there you go. We just have to wait and see what transpiresIt is finished. I don't think it will take as many as 4 world class players. A top player like Sancho and some squad depth, look our points tally since the restart, if we can keep our starting 11 fit we can compete.People saying we need more than Sancho to challenge for the title need to have a reality check. There has never been a more obvious statement!
If we want to challenge for the title this season, we are realistically going to need around 4 world class players at least that will walk straight into our first eleven. You are looking at around £300m+ for that to happen. Please stop flying around in cuckoo land. We are absolutely not challenging for the title this season and that is not the aim either.
Getting Sancho brings us one huge step closer to challenging for the title in the coming couple of years! By getting Sancho we are setting the foundation for the next window where we can get even closer.
Stop thinking our aim is to challenge for the title this season. Ain’t happening!
Woodward knew this was coming.
We'll be no different. They would be absolutely bloody mental to refuse to sell if they are facing financial issues like that. He's definitely coming.
Maybe, but the commercial side of our club and the money we make there I would wager far outweighs Dortmund. We'll be no different.
He's 20 and adapting to a new league and tougher opposition. He has plenty of time to succeed.Explain the disaster of a season Joao Felix just had?
I Agree if we can structure a deal for Sancho and Get Upa or Another of Similar Quality and VdB I think we challenge . This is not beyond Realms of possibility but it will be based Imo on a structured Sancho DealI'd argue, a world class CB and cover for Matic at CDM (after Sancho) would put us right in the mix.
No one can. And this pandemic isn't going away for a while it seems.Yes. What sports industry can withstand that type of loss? It’s utter nonsense
Are you sure? I think we'll be slightly better off as less of our revenue rely on match day. Now we have CL football giving us more money than 19/20 as well. We'll be no different.
Are you Dortmund’s financial advisor? Or just another clueless fan sprouting inaccurate information? Come down from your high horse buddy.I fear for you that my club doesn't need the money, we need a Sancho, and we ve got one. You club needs a DoF, thats for sure.
As expected. Why else would they be begging for us to bid for sancho?
That's a bit of a stretch, it's obviously costly to miss out on our normal matchday revenue but that's not where we make the most money so we're better suited...We'll be no different.
