We should be all over this and bin Bruno.

Seems like he is getting back to his best.

No, Bruno playing a higher level, he would destroy it for Leicester in a mid-table team. Bruno starts for Portugal, Maddison can’t get in the England squad.

Also just given Bruno a new contract and spend £100 million on a player to do the same thing, arguably worse? That will work well.

Maddison will be on his last year, won't cost that much. Also, getting into the England squad is not a great barometer when Maguire is starting.

I think Bruno is great, he was amazing even, but he has regressed or out of form for awhile now. I have a feeling that he is not as effective in a system, and should be given free reign to do whatever on the field.

he's performing better then all the other options for the attacking midfield/wing spots so yes he should go
He’s not quick enough to play on the wing in my opinion. Not for England anyway.

Id take him as a number 10 though however he’d be competing with Foden.

he's quicker than you think, no slower than the likes of Grealish and Mount who get used there

Maddison can play on the right or through the middle no? Plus we need competition for Bruno.. plenty of games.. we need depth also
he doesn't stay right he starts there then goes central, the days of United signing a player like Maddison to be "competition" ended a while ago

Can also play on the left, but the times he's really hit form he's been in the middle in a packed midfield or now on the right of a packed midfield

they could interchange across the front though. Also there’s every chance that Maddison keeps Bruno out the team. It ended a while ago but we can aspire to have it back. That’s kind of the plan right now.

He has been the 2nd best attacking midfielder in the league in 2022.
He has an insane strike of the ball, but I’m really not that impressed by him overall this season. Could just be a poor Leicester-side with a poor coach, but Tielemans appears to be a lot better.

Brilliant player, would've loved him in the team if we didn't already have Odegaard. The challenge for Leicester would be now to hold on to him, because he's definitely a CL level player.

If we can't get De Jong in the summer (if we do go in for him again) then ten Hag could decide to use Bruno and Eriksen as our deeplying playmaker options. This means, instead of going in for a number 8, ten Hag could potentially want himself a number 10. If so, then there's not a lot better around than James Maddison, who will be out of contract June 2024.

Bruno/Eriksen - Casemiro/McTominay - Maddison/Bruno

Bruno is arguably one of the worst options for this role

Make more sense for him to join Newcastle in the summer. A club with ambition and lots of resource, and also he will start there.

Would be a decent signing. Would do a job for most of the top teams in the league. Don’t see how he’d work with Bruno if we was to go in for him though.

If they can balance a midfield of B.Guimaraes, Joelinton and Maddison, they will do extremely well. Especially with an attack that consists of St. Maximum, Isak and Almiron. That is a deadly team, well capable winning things.

Leicester had a midfield three of Maddison, Tielemans and Ndidi and that worked. Some were calling it the best midfield trio in the EPL at one stage.

How would Maddison, Bruno and Casemiro differ?

He plays his best in the hole, no? Would be a waste to play him deep, and he'd bea pretty expensive Bruno backup

They'd need a holding midfielder for that to work.

Sure. They have it. Bruno Guimaraes.

Longstaff is their CM and Joelinton is supposedly an AM but he plays a lot like a box-to-box CM. Joelinton has more defensive actions per 90 than Bruno Fernandes as well as better pass % . Guimaraes, Joelinton, Maddison is more balanced than Casemiro, Fernandes and Maddison. And you've been drumming for the latter.
