I think if you asked pros would they rather win the Olympics or Nations League they’d say the Olympics. The Olympics are in football terms, an under 23 tournament, with a few over age players.
So not really a senior level tournament, so the Nations League being an actual senior tournament, is ahead of the Olympics.
Id have Cole as starter and Robertson as his bench option.Ashley Cole?
Depends how old they are I suppose, as the older you are, the less likely you are to win or even play at the Olympics, due to there being so few over age places for each team.I think if you asked pros would they rather win the Olympics or Nations League they’d say the Olympics.
Nations League is regional, Olympics is global. I'm pretty sure someone like Varane would much rather be an Olympic champion on top of World Cup Winner and "Champions League Varane" than have a medal from a tourno played over a bunch of international breaks.Depends how old they are I suppose, as the older you are, the less likely you are to win or even play at the Olympics, due to there being so few over age places for each team.
So, the Nations League is the more senior tournament, and the one where it is more level pegging, due to it be open to all ages, no restrictions like there are at the Olympics.
Would serve you well if you play him as a midfielder like last night I think.yep. Apparently we (Everton) are interested in a deal. Would love if we signed him.
Don't know about Elanga but Lindelof pulled out through injury. No Lindalove or Elanga for Sweden. How coom?
I think the game is pretty poor overall. Lots of mistakes on both ends.Gavi has been incredible!
Spain playing some beautiful football at the moment.
Yeah I agree its been subpar so far.I think the game is pretty poor overall. Lots of mistakes on both ends.
Is this televised in the U.K.? Can’t seem to find itI think the game is pretty poor overall. Lots of mistakes on both ends.
Yes. Premier Sports has it which is why I am not watching.Has Sky lost the Nations league?
Same. Was going to catch the second half but no, Sky really should be showing it..Yes. Premier Sports has it which is why I am not watching.
It is frustrating that in these times they insist on more and more sports going onto subscription channels.Same. Was going to catch the second half but no, Sky really should be showing it..
Definitely, it basically renders the competition redundant now as very few will even see it..It is frustrating that in these times they insist on more and more sports going onto subscription channels.
They don't have any euro 2024 qualifiers either! All England games are on channel 4. The rest of NL and 2024 ql on premier sports. There was a game on box nation earlier (Czech rep vs Switzerland) which i have through bt sports but that was it!Has Sky lost the Nations league?
219 times, wow!All I’ve learned tonight is the record international appearance maker and the last person for Ronaldo to chase down is actually my countryman from Malaysia, Soh Chin Ann! Played 219 times for our Golden generation from 1969-84. Why did I not know this beforehand…
Speaking of Ronaldo, when you’re watching him as a neutral rather than supporting him and raging at the same players he’s going apoplectic at, he does throw his toys out the pram a lot Cancelo, Silva/Horta and Bruno all got it from him tonight, and he only played half an hour. That perfectionist mentality is what makes him the greatest ever though. I’m sure he gets angry at himself a lot as well.
There are plenty of people who have over 200 caps in the women's game, especially those who have played for the American side.219 times, wow!
Some people don't get to play that many games on a club level, nevermind the national level.
That sounds like a lot, do they have a different international schedule compared to men? There are plenty of people who have over 200 caps in the women's game, especially those who have played for the American side.
Unique occurence as Rio was hosting the Olympics - it was a once-in-a-century opportunity. Mbappé has been making quite a fuss about playing in the Olympics though (was rejected for Tokyo, but will probably play in Paris 2024, as it reportedly was a condition for him extending his PSG contract).Neymar chose the Olympic Games over the Copa America
For the Americans, they play a lot of international games, so there are a lot of opportunities to get a lot of caps. That sounds like a lot, do they have a different international schedule compared to men?
Ah, fair enough. For the Americans, they play a lot of international games, so there are a lot of opportunities to get a lot of caps.
I found it insane too. I thought Ronaldo had beaten it a long while ago! He’ll definitely play on until he beats it.219 times, wow!

I wanted to say he probably wouldn't but he's on 180 something himself so he just might.I found it insane too. I thought Ronaldo had beaten it a long while ago! He’ll definitely play on until he beats it.
