City are very good at scouting and signing things

This one confuses me quite a lot. Maybe I'll be proved wrong.

Never thought he was anything special, but i'm not going to pretend i know better than a top manager. Probably the eye test was wrong.

Is it me or are City's signing seemingly happening multiple times? Halaand joining City was reported again and again and then finally when he officially joined again people started discussing it aftesh. Maybe we never created special threads for opposition players signibgs before ? It was transfer thread and that's it.

Where does he fit in with England now? Surely can’t be a starter in the World Cup when he barely plays now.

Beggars can't be choosers. We've got feck all in MF and I'd rather Phillips over Rice (assuming Bellingham starts)

I think it’ll be Rice and Bellingham/Henderson. Southgate is very loyal to his soldiers.

In fact it would be a very Southgate thing to still play Kalvin.

Why? Rice is 10x the player Philips is which has always been the case and Rice has only got better since. Bellingham should be nailed on next to rice.

One of the worst moves he could have made. His competition is Rodri. One of the best #6's in the world. He never had a chance.

Southgate starting him wouldn't surprise me. He'll probably start Maguire as well.

Looking for the mental gymnastics Southgate uses for picking.

Rice is an automatic starter. It's one of Henderson, Phillips or Bellingham alongside him.

Mount is in terrible form though so perhaps Southgate will go ultra negative and play all three.

I think the plan from Man. City was to pair him in some games with Rodri....but then he's up against Gundogan, KDB so you're really not going to pick him to start above those unless you want to rest them before a big CL tie.

Such a pointless signing. Completely out of his depth compared to his teammates in midfield. This was very obvious from the start. He was average squad filler.

He'll be fine, he's being eased in after his injuries. He'll play alot with Rodri ahead of Gundogan when we use the 4231.
